(Melody's POV)
I wake up early and get dressed in jeans, ugg boots, and a pink sweater. Pulling my hair into a ponytail. I get a bag packed of my outfit for the party tonight. Bringing it with me so I could change at Athena's house. Walking into the kitchen to find Derek and my parents eating breakfast. "Good morning," I say, grabbing a piece of bacon from a plate.
And going into the fridge and pulling out ice coffee. Filling up a travel cup, and I walked out of the kitchen. "I'll see y'all later at the party." I said.
Going outside, wrapping my arms around myself. I walk to my car, and I start it. Turning the hot air on full blast. Driving to Athena's house, and making it in 15 minutes. I knock on the door, and Tyler opens the door. Giving me a surprised look, "Hey." I said, pushing into the house.
He closed the door behind. "Hey." He said, leaning down and giving me a hug. "What are you doing here?" He finally asked.
"I'm here help your mother with the cooking," I said, hanging up my coat in the closet. And sliding my shoes off into the closet.
I then walked into the kitchen, seeing Susan already preparing the meals. "Good Morning," I said.
Susan looked up at me, "Good morning to you too." She said.
I set my purse down on the floor, and I walked over to the sink. Washing my hands, when I feel arms wrap around my waist. Looking behind to see Derek, "I have to go work outside. I will see you later." He said, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek. I smile and watch as he walks outside with his father and brother.
"Melody, why don't we start on the sides." She said.
I nodded and started to prepare the food. Mixing things together and plating things. Making the food look into different Christmas items like snowflakes, snowmen, and Christmas trees. I smiled at my creations, "What are you doing?" Susan said with a laugh. "
Just having some fun with some food." I answered her.
"When you're done with that plate, you can go place it in the fridge in the garage." She said.
I put a wrap over the plate and walk into the garage. That's when suddenly I heard yelling come from the living room. I quickly put the plate into the fridge. Shutting it, and walking back into the house. Finding Athena sitting on the couch, covered in snow. Both of her parents talking to her. Michael and Tyler standing above them, and that's when Tyler saw me. Walking to me and giving me a hug. "What happened?" I whispered.
Seeing Michael carry Athena upstairs while her parents went into the kitchen. Tyler looked me in the eyes, "She fell off the ladder trying to hang one of the lights. A big gust of wind and snow knocked her off the top of the ladder. She fell in a deep pile of snow, so no injuries." Tyler explained to me.
Kissing me on the forehead. "Is she okay?" I asked.
Snuggling closer to his chest. "I think so, that's what my father thinks at least." He said.
The kitchen door opened, and out came Matt. He smiled at us, "Why, what are we doing here?" He asked.
I just smiled baring my head, while Tyler laughed. "Nothing, dad."
I pulled away, giving Tyler a kiss on the cheek. "I have to go finish what I was doing," I said.
Walking past Matt and going into the kitchen. Susan was sitting at the counter, and drinking a beer. I just smiled at her, "Sorry, I just need to relieve the stress a little." Susan said.
"If you want you can work on the Christmas cookies and chocolate pie." I nodded, getting the ingredients. I worked for the rest of the time before the party started.
