Chapter 3

I glided my mini cooper into an empty parking space, and turned the key. Glancing in the rearview mirror, I saw the boys Ford pull in the space to our immediate left. Making sure Claire and I had all of our belongings, we opened the doors and stepped out. The boys did the same, and, with plenty of smiles, joined us on the pavement. I noticed each one held a pair of shorts in their hand, or, not shorts, bathing suits. I wondered, briefly, why they had extra bathing suits in their car, but shrugged it off and led the way to the front doors of the Hyatt. Not much was said in greeting between all seven of us, but not much was needed to. We walked silently in our little pack, probably saving some energy for the remainder of the afternoon.

No matter how many times I'd stayed here, I knew I would never get used to just how gorgeous the overall place was. The two towers that contained all the rooms were, simply, ginormous. From our point on the ground, we had to crane our necks back to see all the way up to the top.

The employees outside the entrance as well as inside were, of course, well dressed and friendly. As we passed them, each one said hello and offered a wave and a smile.

Claire scampered ahead of me, and reached for the large glass doors, pulling one open for the other six of us to walk through. We all thanked her, and proceeded to the left tower. As we passed the concierge desk, I felt Niall fall into step beside me and twine his fingers with mine. I flashed a smile up at him, pleased to get one from him in return.

As we approached the elevators, Claire scampered forward and pushed the button, as she always did. For some reason, pushing the button to an elevator was a universally fun thing to do as a kid.

An elevator dinged, and we all looked around for the source. The doors of the middle one opened, revealing two blonde girls who appeared to be around my age. At the sight of the boys, their mouths dropped open, and they seemed to forget that they had reached their stop. The seven of us stepped into the elevator, Harry and Louis heading to stand next to the girls.

The girls seemed to forget how to speak, but, luckily, Larry Stylinson was there to strike up a conversation. The elevator doors closed, but we went no where considering no one had pressed a button yet. I absently glanced around at the elevator. Even it was incredible. The back wall was covered by a huge mirror, and there didn't seem to be a spot of dirt anywhere. Claire pressed the button to our floor and the doors closed a moment later.

Moments later, The elevator doors opened again. The two blondes had seem to come back to earth and were stepping out of the elevator with a final wave.

I turned to address all the boys at once, "Do you guys want to wait for us while we get changed, or do you just want to meet us at the pool?"

The boys looked at each other, and finally told us that they would just meet us at the pool. I nodded and explained that once we got off on our floor, they would head to floor four where the pool and bathrooms that they could change were.

Only a minute later, the elevator doors dinged open, and Claire and I exited with a wave and a few "see you soon's."

Giggling, Claire took my hand, and started to skip down the hallway. Feeling foolish, but not really caring, I joined her, and soon we were standing in front of our room. I slid my card in the lock and heard it open with a click. I pulled the door open for Claire and watched her dash over to her suitcase in search of a bathing suit.

I did the same, pulling out the three bikinis I had brought. Deciding quickly, I chose my simple, blue, string one. It was my favorite, and covered enough that I could be confident without feeling like a slut. Yelling out that I called the bathroom first, I ran in and closed the door behind me. At any hotel, the rooms aren't that big, and we certainly weren't rich enough to afford one of the bigger ones. However, the bathroom was large. The counter stretched along the left wall and contained two sinks. It was backed by a huge mirror with great lighting. In the back was the toilet, and to the right was an amazing shower. I plopped my stuff down on the counter, and started to undress.
