Zayn continued to hold his wife close.   Even though she said she was fine, he could still see the worry in her eyes.   "I love you so much, Kaia," he said softly.  "And know that I'm always here for you. You and the children are the only things that matter to me."

Now it was her turn to touch his face. "You have no idea what you mean to me," she whispered to him as she let her thumb trace his bottom lip.  "You are my world." She said smiling at him.  "But where are my babies?" She asked.

"Karim is napping in his crib.  He fell asleep on the way home after we picked them up from my parent's hotel," Zayn said with a smile.  "And the twins are outside playing with Liam and Katia."  He was still more than a little irritated with his sister in law but he would deal with that later.  And possibly have a talk with his father in law as well.  "Why don't you take your father out back to the deck and I'll bring them around so he can meet them.

"Okay," she said and stood on her tiptoes and kissed him again.  "Love you, Malik."

"Love you more, Bennet."

Bruce continued to watch his daughter and her husband and he couldn't help but continue to smile.  He could truly see the love that they had for each other and he wouldn't bring up her infidelity again.  It seemed that they had made their peace with it and with each other.

She turned back to her father.  "Ready to meet them?"

"As ready as I'll ever be," Bruce said.

"Come on then," she said and led him through the house and out to the back.

Bruce followed his daughter as she led him the way.  He glanced around at the house as they walked.  He was very impressed with the decor and aesthetic.  He hadn't known Kaia all that long, but it seemed to fit her.  It was something her mother would've done as well.

They stepped through the sliding glass doors that led to an impressive deck with a hot tub, a pool and steps down to the beach.

He couldn't help but give a whistle.  "Kaia, this is amazing," he said as he looked around.  "How long have you had this place?"

"A little over five years," she said.  "When Zayn first brought me here, he was just renting it, but we both fell in love with it.  It was our refuge for us after that dark time in our life.   He knew how much I loved the water and the ocean.  Him, not so much," she said with a smile.

"He doesn't like water?"

"Well, he doesn't really like swimming," she said.  "But he puts up with it for me."

"Your mother would've loved a place like this," he said as he looked out over the ocean and thought about his lost love.  "She would have truly loved this place," he said trying to contain his emotions.  He turned to his daughter.  "It suits you.  You are so like her, Kaia."

"And is Katia like her?"

Bruce couldn't help but grin.  "I think she's more like me, to be honest."  He sat down on the steps that led out to the beach to wait for his grandchildren.  "But you both have a stubborn streak, which you probably get from the both of us," he said with a laugh.  "Your brother is stubborn too."

Zayn headed back outside to the front and saw Katia standing there with her arms crossed in front of her.  He could see that she was still in a mood and Liam looked a little miffed as well but he would have a discussion with his sister in law later.

"Ahmir, Destiny," he called to them and they came running over.

"Papa!" Destiny squealed as she was picked up in the air and swung around.  "Where's mummy?"
