Yugi's POV
It was a peaceful morning, that was until the local psychic walked in being followed by most of the girls from our school. I don't believe in psychics, it's just a bunch of tricks. "Who's he?" Jonouchi asked. "He's the famous psychic Oliver River" Anzu replied. "I don't believe in psychics, it's just a bunch of cheap tricks" I growled. "I agree" Anzu replied. *I don't know Yugi, this guy gives off a bad vibe* 《it's best if we just avoid him》 *ya* I noticed Oliver peering around the corner at Anzu, I blocked his view by stepping next to her. "Let's head to class" Jonouchi said.
[Time skip]
Oliver wouldn't stop harassing us trying to convince Anzu to get her future told. I growled angrily as he got her curious by telling her part of her future "you'll met someone very special today" he told her. She grew curious about her future "maybe it wouldn't hurt just to hear what he has to say" Anzu said dragging me with her to see Oliver. "Ah, I was expecting you" Oliver said. *I don't like this at all* I growled as Oliver rubbed Anzu's hand "enough!" I shouted angrily. It wasn't so much my anger as it was Yami's. "Hmm" Oliver huffed. "You're just a fake with cheap tricks" I screeched. He stood up, stormed over to me and pinned me to the wall. I struggled as his grip tightened. "You're a nonbeliever who should be punished for your outburst" he growled. I suddenly felt pain spread through out my entire body, I screamed in pain. "Yugi!" Anzu shouted. I felt like my body was being torn apart. It only took two minutes for the pain to stop but it felt like hours. I realized I was much smaller than before, "What's going on?" I tried to say but all that came out was a meow. My eyes widened as I quickly realized that I was a cat now. *even I was effected, I'm a freaking cat!* 《how is this possible?》 *it was Oliver's doing* I growled before biting Oliver's hand, forcing him to release me. I ran over to Anzu and climbed up to her shoulder. "What did you do to Yugi?" Anzu asked angrily. "I punished him for his misdeeds by changing him into a house pet" Oliver laughed before vanishing. *he's a sorcerer* 《how long are we going to be like this》 *I don't know, hopefully not long* 《where am I going to go, grandpa along with Anzu's mother is allergic to cats, Jonouchi's father would just end up killing me, Honda isn't allowed to have pets at his house and Kaiba is on a business trip》 I looked up at Anzu worried. I panicked when the teacher came in 'the rules state that anything not school related would be confiscated' I thought. "Anzu, you know the rules" Ms. Terry said roughly grabbing me. "No pets allowed" she growled before tossing me out the window. 《Ow》 *how rude* 《what now?》 *I don't know* 《I'm hungry》 *hmm, maybe if you beg someone will feed you* 《are we really reduced to begging for food?》 *uh oh, it's a stray dog coming this way and he looks hungry! Run!* I bolted, running into an abandoned warehouse through a hole only big enough for me to slip through. *that was too close* 《ya》 I walked around looking for another exit when I spotted a hole on the opposite side of the warehouse. I cautiously poked my head through the hole 《it seems safe enough》 I said before quickly running away from the warehouse. 《Is this what strays have to go through everyday?》 *sadly yes* I realized I had no idea where I was. *it's ok, I'm here to keep you safe. We need to find shelter for the night* I looked around and found an empty cardboard box. 《It's better than nothing》 *ya* I cautiously sniffed the box to make sure that some other animal hadn't claimed it. 《It seems safe》 *everything will be ok little one* I curled up inside the box and fell asleep.
[The next morning]
I cautiously poked my head outside the box to check if it was safe. *let's find something to eat* 《ok》 I wondered the streets trying to find some food. 《This is harder than I thought》 I said before spotting Jonouchi. I ran over to him 《it would be hard to believe if he didn't recognize me. I mean I have violet eyes and a purple tipped tail, that's normal》 I said before nudging Jonouchi. He carefully picked me up "hmm, this cat has violet eyes and a purple tipped tail. That's not normal" Jonouchi said to Honda. I lifted my head so that Jonouchi could see my choker with a little millennium puzzle attached to a small ring. "Yugi?!" Jonouchi said surprised. I nodded, he looked at me and noticed that my fur was ruffled and dirty from running through the warehouse. "What happened to you Yugi?" Jonouchi asked concerned. I suddenly heard a deep growl behind me *it's that stupid dog again!* my instincts took over and I bolted from my friend's grasp. "Yugi!" I heard him shout as the dog chased after me. I ran headfirst into someone, I looked up and realized it was animal control. Lucky for me, my choker also had my name and street address on it. The dog was not so lucky *serves him right* I purred as Jonouchi picked me up. He quickly pulled out his phone and called someone.
