scene 1

You were eating breakfast and about to take your medicine when the doorbell rang. You hid your medicine inside the kitchen's drawer as fast as you could, not wanting anyone to know about your illness. You were in last stage of cancer. You opened the door and saw Jungkook standing there, obviously being impatient again. "Why do you have to ring the bell? Where's your key?" you asked as you let him in. "I don't know, y/n." His answers were always short.

"Jungkook, did you eat breakfast already?" You asked as you followed him inside the house. He didn't say anything and just went straight to the kitchen. He placed his phone and car key on the table.

It hurts to see him every morning knowing that he's cheating on you. But then again, you're not in the position to say anything because you are obviously a nobody to him. You and him got married because you parents were business partners and they want to unite their companies. Nobody knows about it except for the families. He never liked the idea of marriage.

This is the usual scene every morning; you, waking up early because you're worried sick about him while he's out all night with god knows who.

"Do you want to eat something? There's leftover pizza in the oven I can heat it up for-"

"Will you just shut up? You talk way too much, it irritates me. This is why I don't ever want to stay in this house." He yelled as he went to your shared room.

A tear slipped past your cheek. You held yourself together and tried not to cry but this was too much. The truth is, you love him ever since you were kids. Every time your parents would meet, you were always excited to see him. One time, you scrapped your knee and it was bleeding but Jungkook wiped it with his handkerchief and tied it so the bleeding would stop. He blew on it so it wouldn't hurt anymore. That's when it all started. But looking at it now, he turned out to be a whole different person. He wasn't who he used to be.

You knew that he was seeing someone else. What hurts the most is the fact that you can't do anything about it because you were afraid that he will leave you. You just keep it all to yourself no matter how much it hurts. For, you, he is life. Even the pain, because it is from him, it is beautiful.

His phone vibrated and you saw message, "Oppa, you left your keys in my unit. Why don't you come over later and get it? ;)"

It was from the girl you saw before. They were holding hands and laughing together in a coffee shop. It crushed your heart into pieces; seeing how happy he was and the fact that it wasn't because of you. You put his phone down as he was about to enter the kitchen.

"I'm going somewhere." He said and grabbed his things. "But you just arrived. Today's my birthday and our parents wants to have a dinner with us. You should-" you weren't able to finish your sentence as he was already outside.

Hours passed and your parents were already in the house. You waited until past midnight but he didn't come. "Where is Jungkook? Why isn't he coming?" Your mother-in-law asked. "H-he um, he's probably busy with work. He's been staying out late and working hard." You made an excuse so they wouldn't be mad at him. Your parents went home already. You were getting more anxious as hours passed by. You decided to look for him. As you were driving past the busy streets, you saw him went out of a bar with a girl. He seemed to be really drunk. No matter how much you want to cry, now isn't the right time. You went out of the car and went straight to him.

"Jungkook let's go home, you're already so drunk."

"W-what are y-you doing here?" he asked, stuttering.

"Excuse me, but who the hell are you?" the girl asked with her high-pitched voice. She tried to push you away.

"I'm his wife so leave him alone."

When you arrived at your house, you instantly tucked him to bed. You couldn't keep it in to yourself anymore so you cried. Tears flowing down your cheeks as you held his hand. You don't know how much time you have left. You could die any minute.

"God, please give me more time to love him." You whispered desperately. You stayed with him until you fell asleep.

The bed was empty when you woke up. You assumed he went out already. You sighed as you went out of your room. To your surprise, he was in the kitchen. You smiled, seeing him is a relief. Suddenly, your visions got blurry.

"J-Jungkook I-" you lost your balance and you collapsed on the floor.

"Y'n what's wrong?! Why are you like this?!" He was panicking, shocked to see you in this state.

Your eyelids felt heavy. You felt him lift you up as he rushed to the hospital. You closed your eyes as you let the darkness consume you.

When you woke up, Jungkook was beside you holding your hand. You lightly squeezed his hand and smiled at him. "Y/n! You're awake." He said and gave you a hug. You didn't expect him to be here. You know too well that your time is coming.

"I want to go to the beach. Maybe watch the sun set or something." You said as you smiled at him.

"Y/n, you're too weak for now. We can go some other time. I promise I will take you." Jungkook said.

"No, I want to go now please." You pleaded. You can't wait any longer.

Somehow, he felt as if something's wrong.

"Alright, if that's what you want." He whispered as he lifted you up. He drove to the beach. Both of you sat near the shore. The waves glinted in the sunlight. You felt the sand beneath your feet. You smiled as you rested your head on his shoulder and held his hand.

"Why didn't you tell me? All this time, you were sick while I'm out wasting my life." He looked away. He didn't want you to see him like this.

"I don't want to be a burden. When I'm gone, I want you to find a good woman. Love her with all your heart and treat her better." You said as you stared at him.

"I-I'm so sorry, y/n. I should've treated you better." He sniffled as tears slipped past his cheeks.

"Shhh, it's fine, Jungkook. Everything's fine. I want you to know that I love you and I will love you until the last breathe I take." You whispered, not having much energy left.

"I love you too, Y/n. Please don't leave me." He said as he hugged you tight.

"Knowing that I loved you more is enough for me." You said as tears rolled down your cheeks.

"Hold on, y/n, please don't close your eyes!" He yelled.

Your whole body hurts. Your heart is racing. The last thing you saw was him panicking. You touched his face one last time and...

It made you smile.
