ok I'm going to give you some important info about this and my other mlp fanfics!
to start off is that all the ponys are humans well expect they have pony ears and tail (wings if Pegasus) and their boys XP
next a Pegasus has two different wing formes one for when their not flying( the wings are small like chibi) another for when they are(like angle but same colour as what it would be in the tv show) and unicorns have a wand that's like their horn in the tv show(it would have a haul which is a different shape and pattern for every pony) but a Prince/Princess uses there hands X3
another thing is that ponyville looks the same in the tv show (Dusk Shine's library isn't a tree it's a normal book Shoppe with the living area on the second floor)
and finally they do have cutie marks but on different parts of their body like BubbleBerry's is on his right shoulder and ButterScotch's is on his upper thigh (not many have seen it) and I'll tell u where the others marks are in the different fanfics X3
