CHAPTER 2

The ride to school turned out to be better than it used to be. Me and Jay are really close but once we're in school, I'm afraid to go near him. Jay's a senior at our local high school. Aside from being smart and overly popular, he is one of the most chased after guys. Yup, he's buff and good looking, unlike me, I doubt anyone even notices me. Though my brothr is all popular, he never lets anyone hurt me.

As my morning goes by, I lost all expectation that today would be different. I hung out with my friends at lunch and the food was worse that ever. When lunch was over, I was feeling lazier than I wanted to be. By the second bell, I was alone by the lockers. I wanted to take my sweet time for once ang maybe even skip school for the afternoon. Right, like I'll ever be able to pull that off. I grab my history book from my locker, close it and as I turned around, I bump into something hard.

Woah! what the hell was that? I never knew the wall was that close to my back. Great just great, Its a good thing I'm the only one here already. I was starting to stand up when suddenly I saw something move infront of me. Startled, I jerked my head up, and boy have I hit my head hard. I'm now hallucinating. "I'm so sorry," says the hunk who was now helping me up.

My heart was caught in my mouth. Say something! my subconscious screams at me. "I'm sorry, that was my fault", I choked out as he bent down to get my history book. "No, it was my fault, I wasn't paying attention to where i was heading", he says, handing me my book.

The moment his fingers brushed onto mine, my breath got caught in my chest and as he looked at me,eye to eye, I thought my knees would buckle. "Thank you." , I managed to say, but in a voice that seemed to belong to someone else. We stood there for almost a minute when I finally remember that I was late for class. "I'm so sorry, uhm, I, err.. need to get to class", and with that I ran off to the corridor to my class.

The rest of my afternoon seemed to drag on. My thoughts were on that lovely creature I bumped into earlier. I wonder who he is? I've never really seen him around before, yet he seems vaguely familiar to me. My thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of the school bell. Once again, school's over. I grab my bag and head out of the classroom. Good thing me and Jay have the whole house to ourselves, I thought to myself, with a smirk across my face.
