"Are you guys going tonight?" Kayla asks across the lunch table. "Going where and why wasn't I invited?" Emily asks slamming her tray down on the table. "It's nothing, just a few of us are meeting up in the woods to play the Slenderman game." I say taking a bite of my cookie. "What's the Slenderman game?" Emily asks taking her seat. "Its a game where a bunch of us run into the woods and one person is chosen to be Slenderman and they have to hunt us down and if you get caught your out of the game." Maddy says drinking her milk. "What's a Slenderman anyways?" Max asks from besides Kayla. "It's a myth about a man who comes out at night and hunts for children and teens. He's a tall pitch black figure with a white head, but no face and tentacles coming out of his back to grab children." Kayla tells him. "You guys aren't telling that stupid Slenderman story are you?" Someone from behind me ask. It's Johnny. "I wouldn't say it's a story." Maddy says with her eyes on her tray. "Yeah right. The Slenderman is not real." Johnny says sitting beside Emily. "Well anyways, way back in the seventies a bunch of teens went into the woods to play the Slenderman game in the woods. The next day, none of them showed up in at school. Eventually they sent out a search party into the woods. No one was ever found." Maddy says eerily. "So a bunch of teens ran away together. Big deal." Emily says. "If the Slenderman is real then why hasn't anyone gone missing for so long?" Max asks shoving his tray away from him. "Because no one has said the old nursery rhyme." I say. "Rhyme?" Kayla asks. "Yeah it went like. When the Slenderman comes all will know. When the Slenderman comes all will show. When the Slenderman comes don't lose your friend. When the Slenderman comes meet your end." The bell to signal the ending of lunch sounds. Maddy jumps a little, frightened by the unexpected sound of the bell. I get up and start to walk away from the lunch table and out of the corner of my eye I see a tall pitch black figure, I would say it was staring at me, but that's impossible. He had no eyes.
