❝It's better to burn out than to fade away.❞
* * *
Eloise Karmins has always been that girl, that quite girl, who sits in the corner and talks to no one. That idle girl who has nothing to do.
But there's little she can do when everything is burning down. Even herself.

London, U.K
November 28th.
8:35 pm.
Eloise let out a loud and piercing scream.
Flames. There were actual flames in her hands. She didn't know how they had formed or how they came or anything, but the fact that there were hot, yellowish red fire in the palms of her hand.
"Eloise!" her dad shouted from downstairs. "Honey, is everything alright?"
Eloise took in a deep breath and let it out swiftly. "Yes, everything is alright. I just thought there was a mouse here," she lied.
Blue in the base, yellow in the middle, fading into deep red, she looked at it. She had adored fire. Playing with fire. Her parents had always warned her not to, but she couldn't help herself. Often playing with magic, but this time, she wasn't playing, it was real.
It was happening. Eloise Karmins had the ability to manipulate fire. She was fire, fire was her. She could set everything alight.
Everything.
