It Lurks

It was so very dark.

In the little town of Easteville, California, it was 3pm on an otherwise normal Saturday.

But it was dark.

The locals knew it was the ill-fated Cursed Day, and no one went outside that day.

Except for seven year old Haley Richards.

She didn't know that no one was to go outside unless they wanted to become the spirit that haunted the town.

Oh yes, there was a spirit.

It was real, it was so real. Almost everyone in the town had seen the spirit.

Now, little Haley had six of her friends over that day for her birthday. But they couldn't go outside.

They didn't know that.

All seven of them stepped outside.

Only six returned inside.

Haley Richards was never seen again.
