The wind was blowing hard on the streets of Italy. A (h/c) was walking the dark streets alone. Bruised and blood covering her arms. Why? Well, she had barely managed to escape one of two mafia bosses, Feliciano Vargas. Despite his normal cheery and happy attitude, he really was a horrible person due to his mafia side. (I have nothing against Feli! He's just this way in this story!)

She silently cried as she continued to walk the cold streets. The dimming lights from the lamps hardly lighting the way as she vigorously tried to stay awake. She hadn't slept in almost two days since she was taken by the one boss she did love. Lovino Vargas. That was about two weeks ago. But had she just, listened to Lovino, she would still be with him instead of outside in the cold. Her tears came faster as her memory betrayed her and replayed that fateful day.

-Flashback-

(y/n) and Lovino had been deciding on what to do with one of the traitors that had posed themselves as a guard. (Y/n) was pissed at what they did, but Lovino was worse. Had his own guards not held him back, he would have killed him then and there.

He had been (y/n)'s bodyguard when they went to see his brother, Feliciano, so they could discuss their issues with territory invasions. Lovino didn't trust (y/n) being alone. Not because he was afraid she'd leave him, no. She loved him more than life itself. He was afraid of her being taken from him if she was left vulnerable.

So, they were there. Discussing their territory concerns and as an argument settled between the two, knives were pulled as the two brothers clashed against one another. (y/n)'s bodyguard had silently crept behind her and covered her mouth with a cloth to keep her silent. If he were smart, it would have been chloroformed. Yet he wasn't that smart. He had just grabbed her and made his way out, Feli noticing and giving his brother a sly grin.

"Well, it's been-a nice to discuss things with-a you fratello. But I got what I-a came here for."

Luciano was confused as to what he meant until he noticed his lover and her body guard gone.

"You bastard! Give her-a back!" He yelled, charging after him once again with his knife in hand. He would have gotten him had Felicianos' guard not gotten in the way.

"Dammit! Get out of the-a way you bastardo!"

Feli had been able to escape. He was on his way to claim his new possession before hearing yells, the sound of broken glass and car door slams and driving off. He was completely confused and ran to the room where (y/n) and the traitor was supposed to be. Only to see them both gone. Feliciano grinned. (Y/n) was better than he thought.

*what had happened*

After being dragged to the room, not without a fight of course, (y/n)'s 'bodyguard' had let her go, only to be attacked by a following, true bodyguard that (y/n) had grown up with. Antonio Carriedo. Also one of Lovinos' best guards he had. She sent him a relieved smile and he had grabbed the traitor, rushing her out the fairly large window and into the black car that had been parked outside.

That is what happened to bring the two where they are now. A pissed (y/n) and an even more enraged Lovino. (y/n) had sat on the corner of his desk with her legs crossed, glaring at her 'bodyguard'. (let's call him John for now.)  Lovino was mumbling curses at John in italian, his body still shaking with rage as (y/n) had gently placed a hand on his shoulder to try and calm his shaking form.

Taking in deep breaths, Lovino had finally spoken.

"Kill him. I don't care how. Just get rid of him." He spat, venom lacing his words as he rested his hand on (y/n)'s which was still resting on his shoulder.

His guards nodded, grabbing John and drug him out of the room and down the hall. Shortly after, Lovino and (y/n) had heard the screams of the once alive guard.

She sighed, getting off the desk and went behind Lovino, hugging his neck from behind as he had placed both his hands on her arms.

"I was terrified bella.. I thought I had lost-a you.." he said, his voice shaking a bit.

(y/n) tightened her grip slightly, not enough to choke him though.

"I'm sorry Lovi.. I should have been paying more attention.. Then maybe none of this would have happened." She said, placing her chin on his head.

"It's not your-a fault bella.. No one expected it to happen. As long as you're-a safe now, it doesn't matter."

(y/n) smiled slightly, kissing the top of his head and unraveled her arms from his neck.

"I'm just going to go out back for some fresh air.. I'll be back in about 15 minutes." She said, heading out the door.

"(y/n), I'd rather you not. Who knows what-a may happen.." He said, pleading silently with her eyes not to go.

"Lovino, this place is guarded heavily with the truly loyal guards including Antonio. You know how he is. I basically grew up with him. He sees me as a sister and I see him as my overprotective brother. I'll be fine, I promise." She said, sending him a smile and left to the back.

She had been outside for about 5 minutes, relaxing her mind and what happened next was definitely not expected. Feliciano and his men had knocked the guards unconscious, leaving (y/n) trapped and defenseless. She had left her only weapon on Lovinos' desk inside. She knew how to fight of course, but how well was she prepared against bodyguards for a mafia boss? Not very. She had been taken once again from Lovino, attempting to call for him but found her voice weak from shock. How could have let this happen again.. She had broken her promise to her lover about her remaining safe.

-End Flashback-

She cried silently harder, wrapping her arms around herself and rubbing them on on her arms to create friction. It was getting colder as the night went on. The blood had finally stopped going down her soft skin, but the cuts and bruises still remained and throbbing with pain as she kept hitting them in order to stay warm.

She had eventually found herself walking down an alleyway. She ended up making a small fire to help her stay warm, but it didn't last long. The wind had picked up as it kept blowing out her flames. No matter how hard she tried to protect it against the harsh air, it was deemed useless. She let out a defeated sigh. Wiping away the now dry streaks on her cheeks as small sniffles still escaped. She wondered how Lovino was doing.

Was he heart-broken? Or had he moved on through the two weeks after her disappearance and found someone new? Someone who could actually defend themselves and not forget their only weapon inside and didn't rely on guards alone to keep them safe?

She mentally slapped herself at the thoughts. Of course she would be devastated if he moved on from her, but there was also that slight chance of him still looking for her and not giving up like she was about to.

(y/n) shook her head violently, standing up and left the alleyway. She had no idea where she was, or even if she left Felicianos' territory and entered Lovinos or the area between the two that was deemed neutral turf. From all the times she had been in the neutral area and Lovinos territory, she had come to the conclusion she was still in Felicianos'.

'God.. how much territory do these people have..' She thought. Voices she never wanted to hear again bringing her thoughts to an end.

"There she is!"

"Get her!"

"Bring her back to Feliciano!"

She froze for a few seconds, sprinting forwards despite the cry of her muscles telling her to stop. She would have fought them on the spot, but her body was to weak to do anything.

'Oh god.. Antonio.. Lovino.. Anyone.. Help me!' She thought, tears beginning to stream from her eyes once again.
