Graduation Day

I woke up early to do my makeup and hair, today was my big day, the day I step out into the world and decide things on my own today I'm finally graduating high school. Finally I'm free to make the best choices for myself.

I was sitting at my mirror doing my makeup when there was a knock at my door.
"Jaehwa! Are you ready"? I rolled my eyes as I heard the most annoying voice.
"Almost"! I yelled back with obvious frustration. "Can I come in"?
"Sure".
The door knob turned and in came my annoying older brother SeokJin.

He walked towards me and sat at the edge of my bed. I looked at him trough my mirror and saw him smiling at me.
"What you freaking weirdo".
"I'm proud of you Jae". He had a huge smile on his face.
"Thanks". I replied as I smiled back at his annoying face.

He looked around my room and I could tell he was judging me big time. There was a silent pause and then.
"Why do you have a big mess in here"!?
I dropped my makeup brush turned around and looked at him. "Hey! I'm graduating okay! I needed to find the best outfit for today"!
He got up. "Fine but be ready because it almost time".
"Okay"
He walked out of my room and I got back to what I was doing.

_1 hour and 30 minutes later_.

I was finally done with my makeup. I put my dress and heels on. Lastly I put my cap and gown on and walked downstairs to my mom and brother.
"Wow sweetheart you look beautiful"! She said as she came to me and hugged me.
"Thanks mom".
Jin looked at his watch.
"Took you long enough. Now let's go before we're late".
We walked to Jin's car and drove to the graduation hall.

"Kim Jaehwa"! I got up from my seat and walked up the stage. As I walked I heard my mothers and brothers screams and hollars. I smiled to myself of the great accomplishment I did.

Later that day we went to eat at a restaurant.
"So sweetheart, me and your brother thought of something". I looked up to my mom.
"What is it"?
Jin looked at me. "We've decided to let you work at the company with me".
My eyes lit up instantly. "Really"!?
"Yes"! Jin chuckled at my excitement.
But then my smile faded. "Oh"...
Jin noticed it. " Hey what's wrong?Are you not happy"?
I shook my head. "No, no it's just that ever since dad passed away I haven't stepped foot in the company it's literally been 5 years".
Jin softly smiled and held my hand. "Hey you'll be fine". He said with a reassuring face. "I'll be there for you and so will mom".
"Ok".
"Plus Taehyung will be there too"
I looked up and saw him smirking."Why are you looking at me like that"?
He laughed like a kid. "Oh come on I know you had a little crush on him".
I chocked on my food. "Dude that was years ago"! "You two used to be inseparable" I looked at my mom with a disgusted face. "Mom seriously you too"!?
She laughed at me. "Yes"
"Remember that time you were sick and I caught you and Taehyung on the roof". I quickly cut him Jin off. "Anyways mom how your work going"??
" Well it's going great actually. Although now I want to start my own cosmetic line instead of just clothing".
I smiled. "Well whatever it is you want to do mother me and Jin will always support you. Right Jin"
Jin smiled at the two of us. "Yes, anything for the two women I love in this life.".
" Gosh I have such wonderful children! Although I really wanted Jin to continue his dream of becoming a chef".
I quickly swallowed the food I was chewing on. " No for real you would've been the best"!
Jin smiled and looked down at his hands. " Well yes I know but someone had to take care of the company in dad's absence. We cant just let what he worked so hard on just to go to waste".
I reached over for his hands. "Well now you have me. I'll help out that way you can't continue your studies". I smiled at him.
"What about you Jaehwa. What are you planning"?
"Honestly I don't know yet. I want to be an attorney but then I want to be a fashionista but sometimes I just want to rest for a bit".
"Just choose a job that will make you happy okay".
"Yes mom". I smiled at how supportive she was.
"You too Jin".
"Yes ma'am".

After our dinner we went home.

I was getting ready for bed when I hear a knock on my door. "Hey can I come in"? I heard Jins voice.
"Sure"
He sat at my bed and smiled. "Hey Jae I'm really proud of you".
"I know you dont have to say it every time".
He chuckled.
"Anyway tomorrow wake up early because your coming to the company with me".
"Okay".
He got up and walked towards me. "Goodnight Jae".
He pulled my head and gave me a kiss on my forehead.
I cringed.
"Im not a little girl anymore"!
"Your still my little sister and are younger than me so therefor you're little".
He pulled me again and kissed my forehead once again.
He laughed and ran out my room.
"Goodnight Jae"!
I rolled my eyes at his child like behavior.
"Goodnight Prince Jin".
