Being 19 years old and moving to California by myself has been quit the adventure. It was hard to leave my friends and family behind in Texas. I've been saving every penny I've made from my fast food job. 10$ an hour will not cut it if I wanna continue to live in California. I've also bought a bike. I'm not paying 4$ a gallon to sit in LA traffic. My small country town will be missed.

All of this for a little app called YouTube. I started posting YouTube videos about 3 years ago. Vine was at it's prime. My friends all loved Magcon, O2L and anyone related to them. I aspired to express myself and connect with people the same way they did. Although I wasn't an attractive 16 year old boy, I did my best to fit in with them. At first my videos were only getting 500 views each until I posted my concert experience on Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour. I didn't even meet her. I recorded 4 seconds of her walking into the building. She touched all of our hands as she walked by. This brought so much attention to my channel. According to youtube, that qualifies as instant stardom. That video ended up with 1,000,000+ views in a week. And is still growing in views. That was the start. Thanks to her, I was asked to move to LA to make YouTube videos, professionally.

Today I meet with Ryan Walker. Ryan is an assistant director in the commercial business for youtube. If you want to make money from YouTube, he's the guy that can make it happen. We're gonna go over different ads I can add to my videos. It's like signing a record label for music. I'll be in a contract: fun.
.....

After sitting in traffic for 45 minutes to drive 10 miles, I finally arrived. The building was so tall it hurt to look at the top. The YouTube sign was all over the building. My nerves grew tighter as I walked into the building.

I walked up to the front desk for directions.

"Hi. My name is isa-" I started to say before the lady behind the desk cut me off.

"Isabelle Santiago. Hi! Ryan is waiting for you in room 435. 4th floor." She smiled at me. Wow. She knows my name.

"Thank you." I thanked her and walked toward the elevator.

Here we go. My success weighs on this meeting. It's fine. I'm not nervous at all.
