Truth be told,
I never knew
I'd fall in love
With someone like you
Your words were like ice
Until I melted your heart,
But now the water
Is pulling us apart.
You swam to shore
Safe and sound,
But left me there,
Left me to drown.
I pushed the thought of you
Out of my brain
But, truth be told
I hoped that you felt the same
But this ocean is restless
Pulling me away
Deep in my heart
I wish I had stayed.
