My Elvendale Adventure (Cronan X Reader)

Chapter 5: Time Together

I flutter my eyes and roll over. No don't wake up yet, I tell myself but it is too late. I open my eyes and take in my surroundings now that I can finally see them.

The room has green brick walls and a dark wooden floor. My bed is in the center of the room with a bedside table to the right. To the left there is a tall dresser and beside that a vanity, together they take up the whole length of the wall. There is also a small window directly above the bed letting light in. It really is a nice room.

Finally, I gather the courage to get out of bed. It should be at least 8:00 now, I thought to myself. I don't know how time works in Elvendale though. I put on my shoes and walked out of my room. I opened the door and walked into the bathroom.

I was blown away by the brightness of the room. White walls and floor. A white tub in the center of the back wall. A white sink to the left with a huge mirror beside it. A white toilet at the right with a white dresser next to it.

There were dark green beautiful vines that hung down on top of the white walls and wrapped around all objects in the bathroom. And to light all these thing up were 3 windows on the back wall, bigger that the ones in my room but the same shape.

I did my business in the bathroom and then took a look at myself in the mirror. My hair was a mess but it was to early in the morning to care about it.

I left the bathroom and started to walk to the dining hall but I heard a groan behind me. I turn around to find Cronan walking out of his room rubbing his eyes.

He was wearing big black pants and black tank top with his amulet around his neck. I smiled at his tired appearance.

"What are you looking at Y/N?" Cronan murmured as he shuffled to the space next to me. I looked down towards his feet and realised he was also barefoot.

"You," I replied.

"Mornings are," he yawned in the middle of his sentence, "not my favorite."

"Mine either. But it helps when you wake up in a strange land were you're part of an evil scheme. Breakfast?" Cronan nodded and started his way down towards the dining hall. I follow beside him.

We turn corners and head down stairs, making our way to the dining hall. We had just turned another corner when Cronans hand brushed mine, I could feel my face turn red. All of a sudden a burst of confidence ran through my veins.

I looked down at his hand next to mine, Your really gonna do it? I answered myself, Yep. Just as our hands passed I gently but quickly grabbed his hand. I looked straight forward waiting for Cronans reaction. There was none.

I waited a bit longer. Still nothing. He is ok with it? I turned my head and looked at Cronan. He didn't look at me but I did see his cheeks were red also. You made him blush! I screamed inside my head. I started to hold back a smile but couldn't resist it.

We walked the rest of the way holding hands. He only let go to open the door for me. We sat at our spots we did yesterday evening and waited for breakfast. When it came it was a series of fruity cakes and muffins. Cronan talked to me about all the details, big and small, of his plan to take over Elvendale and Earth.

"Earth?" I was surprised when he told me. "Earth is terrible, why would you want to take it over?"

"Because my mother wanted to go there," He answered me.

"I still don't think that is a good idea, people on earth are... weird."

"That must be why you are from there," Cronan said, but I couldn't tell whether he was being sarcastic or not. I laughed and we talked some more until all the food was finished.
