Finals day

The alarm blares right in my ear as I get the strength to lift my arm and bring it over to the clock. My hand gives up half way there and touches the side of it. I groan and rub my eyes sitting up. I quickly click the snooze button and close my eyes as I reach for the light switch. When nothing happens, I get up and pad over to my window. I open the blinds and the darkness is suddenly shattered by the light spreading across my room. A yawn escapes from my mouth and I make my way over to my closet. I grab some sweats, then hesitate as I think about a boy. The sweats find their way back to the hanger and I pick out a cute maroon shirt, a black leather jacket, and some dark blue ripped jeans. I then put on my black converse and straighten my hair. I snatch my keys from the side table, hug my mom goodbye, and hop out the door as I slip on some ice. I moan then hoist myself back up onto my feet, making my way to my Chevy pickup.
The way to school wasn't that bad, I got there so early that I got to turn around and get my pink drink from Starbucks. I hurry to the door as someone is holding it for me. I pray that I don't slip when I see that it's Liam. I hop over there, and slip on a patch of ice almost spilling my pink drink. Just my luck. I open my eyes to find myself in Liam's arms.

"Uhm, thank you." I say as my face turns red.

"Uh without me you probably would've gotten a concussion." He says laughing as he helps me up onto my feet.

I nervously laugh then look back up at his six foot self and say, "well good thing you were there then."

He flashes me a huge smile and opens the door once again gesturing for me to go inside first. We talk about the final we both have this morning, how we didn't study, and how we should help each other cheat. I find myself blushing and look down at my feet as he keeps talking about his friends getting girlfriends and how he's going to be single forever. I immediately intervene saying,

"Have you seen yourself?!"

"Yeah I have actually, and that's probably the reason I'm never going to have one." He says as his smile fades into a frown.

"Hey, I can guarantee you there's at least one girl out there that likes you." I say scratching my neck.

"Ha! Funny joke! I didn't know you were so funny!" He says with a chuckle.

"Oh come on!" I say playfully punching his elbow instead of the shoulder I was aiming for.

"Shortie." He says looking down at me smiling.

"Shut up!" I say giggling.

He struts into the class and  I follow him till he sits next to his friends. Instead of sitting alone, he invites me to sit next to him.

"Hey shortie, why don't you sit next to me and Jacob?" He says with a grin.

"Are you sure?" I say brushing a hair out of my face.

"Nah you can sit by yourself! Of course I'm serious short stack." He says patting the desk next to him.

I sit down next to him and we actually talk quite a bit. He didn't talk to Jacob at all. We got in trouble by the teacher 5 times, but that didn't stop us from talking about our rival football teams.
