Throughout most of the world there are supernatural creatures. Werewolves, Shape Shifters, Vampires, Witches, and Warlocks just to name a few.

Most of these creatures live apart from the others. Many are natural enemies.

My name is Marie and this is my story. Unusual I know. But unusual is my life.

I had a normal childhood. My Dad worked. Mom stayed at home with my siblings and I.

My parents were childhood sweethearts. After graduation they had married and soon came my brother Ricky. He was the typical robust boy. Into everything and wanting to be close to Dad.

Two years later, Mom had Retta. Ricky and Retta could have been twins. Retta had been a Mama's girl. Following Mama everywhere and trying to help.

Two years later Cynthia had been born. She had been into everything. Following both Ricky and Retta around.

Two years later, I came along. Mama had a difficult pregnancy with me. Though I had been born at
five months, I had been a full term baby. I had grown at an unprecedented rate.

I was quiet and watchful. My sharp eyes caught every movement. My ears could hear sounds from miles away. High pitched noises hurt my ears.

Occasionally I would smell strange
scents when I would run through the forest. I knew that the scents were wrong. That they didn't belong there.

My parents had the twins Christine and Laverne last. To say that they were a handful would be an understatement. Different as night and day. Yet fiercely loyal to each other.

As we grew older, Christine, Laverne and I were close. The three of us were always out in the forest exploring.

One afternoon we had went out to our favorite spot. As we had sat by the lakes edge, I had noticed a sickenly sweet smell.

The scent was sweet yet it burnt my nose like bleach. From hearing my parents and older family talk, I knew that I had to get my sister's home. That danger was near.

As we had ran back home, the smell had followed us. My body had began to tremble. As my sister's had ran inside, my body had felt as though it was on fire.

As my body had changed, I had let out a scream. Slowly that scream had turned into a howl.

Turning back the direction that my sister's and I had came from, I had seen a pale man. He had been the palest person that I had ever seen. My instincts was telling me to protect my family.

Allowing my instincts to take over, I had charged at the man. Leaping into the air, I had torn him limb for limb. As I had backed off of him, my father had came out of the house. I had watched as he had gathered the body parts and burned them.

That night my parents had helped me to transform back and explained what was happening to me.
