"Kira, come out." Sage says calmly but her face is in a scowl. I sigh. I don't know why I'm so nervous. I pretty much didn't care what others thought about me. Well, except today.

"Don't tell me you're scared." Zoe says cockily and I instantly feel the urge to punch the smirk of her pretty face.

"As if." I say lamely and I mentally face palm myself. That was the lamest comeback ever.

"Kira, everyone's looking at us and you're making a scene. So get out of the car and deal with you're social anxiety." Sage says calmly again but I could tell she was getting pissed.

"Right, sorry." is all I say, come out of the car, and brace myself for the first day of our fake friendship

I flop my arms on Sage and Zoe's shoulders and smile warmly. "I can't wait to show you guys around the place!" I say sweetly. Zoe and Sage give me a brisk nod then we make our way to the school's entrance. I carefully ignore the stares everyone is giving me, partly wishing Sage and Zoe didn't dress so expensively. I knew that was the reason for the stares, because I overhead a bunch of kids talking about how tacky I looked in between Sage and Zoe.

"Next time, brush me up on you're outfits the day before okay? You guys are attracting way too much attention, and I don't like it." I hiss at them as we walk to the Principal's office to get their schedules and classes settled.

"Oh Kira, there's so much to this job you don't understand. We are supposed to draw attention, lots and lots of it!" Zoe says with her infamous smirk.

"Yeah, we need to get people preoccupied and talking about us. That way, they'll tend to leak vital information without knowing it." Sage tells me. "What information could these guys possibly give? All they ever talk about is how to get laid, drugs, parties and gossip about God-knows-what." I say flatly. That's literally the only crap I hear in the girl's bathroom these days.

"Everyone in this school knows more than their letting on, even the staff, so don't be fooled. Be very, very observant." Sage said quietly.

"And how do you know all this?" I couldn't help but ask. She seemed to know so much about this school, but has never stepped foot in the building. It bothered me.

She opens her mouth, about to speak, but is cut off by the Principal.

"Can the three of you just get inside and shut the door? I haven't got all day."
