Maisy lifted her hand up abruptly and waved it in the air trying to get her teachers attention,
"Yes, Miss Irons." asked the teacher, not sure if she would get the answer right. Maisy squealed as she got picked and smiled.
"D-i-s-a-s-t-r-o-u-s!" she pulled her hand down as the teacher stood in front of the class and nodded towards her, reassuring the girl that she was correct. Soon the clock struck 3:20PM and the home time bell screamed throughout the school.
Noise erupted in the class as many children rushed towards their cloak pegs and slung their bags over their shoulder. The noise had soon boiled over after 5 minutes had passed and Maisy still sat at her desk and carried on with the test they were doing.
"Miss Irons you do have to leave," the teacher said firmly snatching the test paper from her desk. The juvenile girl looked up and frowned,
"But Miss Perigold, I need to finish the test."
"No you don't missy, please leave."
"Fine." Maisy stood up sharply and turned towards her bag, she picked it up and walked to the door.
"You did very well today, Miss Irons, very well."
They both looked at each other and smiled, then the little girl took a few steps and made her way out of the class.

As she walked into the deep, icy snow of countryside winter, her cheeks slowly turned bright red and her ears became a mixture of pink and purple. Towering trees stood high above her as their leafless branches pierced the air. Maisy took a deep breath and as she did a hot steamy cloud flew out of her mouth. I might go to the corner shop, she thought, maybe. She kept walking onwards past houses and cottages and she soon came to Jenny Organs Corner shop. A orange-like light lit the dim room and showed many sweets and comics displayed across the shop. A black haired, 30 year old woman stared as Maisy walked into the shop and the loud bell rang.
"Yello!" the lady said looking at the young girl, Maisy looked back and smiled,
"'Ello, do you run this shop?" the girl asked.
"Yup , and oo are yoo."
"Maisy Irons, do you have an-"
"An evacuee,"
"Oh, uh. No. But do you have any Eclairs."
"Ahh, no. Unney. We don't."
Maisy turned, left the shop and frowned. She was really looking forward to having one of them as well, they were toffee with a liquid-y, chocolate-y inside.  Quietness filled the air as she kept walking through the coldness, only her footsteps broke the silence. She soon started to see lights coming from cottages and her house came into view.

Maisies mum opened the door as she knocked on it, and with a smile the little girl waddled inwards. A long hallway stretched downwards and led into the kitchen, the walls were a bright cream colour and also quite worn. Maisy took of her shoes, climbed up the ladder to her room and plonked herself on her bed. Pondering and pondering she sooned remembered her studying schedule, her math study was going to start in 2 minutes. She took one long, big, dawning sigh and got her book out of her bag. There was a bright, baby blue coloured notebook with a neatly written note reading: Maisy Irons, Math, Miss Perigold.
Soon night started to fall over Little Inckletown and many children went to sleep, thinking of the new day lying in front of them. It was only then that a dream-which was unusual since Maisy never got dreams- started to creep into her brain. It started off as a tingly sensation but soon a blurry image appeared in her mind and straight after that, it appeared as clear as day.
