chapter 10

Daniel POV: today was Emma's 13th birthday and we had a huge party with some of our friends planned.

Joey and I got out of bed early around 8 am to decorate and make breakfast. we decorated the outside of her door with rose pedals and flowers and fake candles so we wouldn't start a fire in the house.

we made pancakes and hash browns for breakfast and I decided to put frosting and sprinkles on Emma's pancakes.

I put out her presents which we got her a new laptop and a new phone since hers has been broken.

we had the intentions to make this the best birthday ever.

a few minutes to 9 am we heard her bedroom door open. we both froze and listened for her coming down the stairs.

we faced towards the bottom of the stairs as she came downstairs in a robe and a onesie, carrying the flowers we left her. she had the biggest grin ever.

joey came around with her pancakes with frosting and sprinkles

we started singing for her,

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Emma! happy birthday to you!!"

she ran over and jumped into my arms and we gave her the biggest hug ever.

"Happy birthday sweetheart"

she giggled. "Thank you daddy"

although shes 13 she honestly looks like she could be 10 or 11. I mean shes super light and a bit small, but hey she is our daughter and I love her.

we all ate her presents and had breakfast.

after we finished eating there was a knock at the door. we knew who it was, it was Colleen. we asked her to take her out for the afternoon to get her nails done and have a girls day.

Emma got dressed and Joey curled her hair while she did her makeup. I thought she looked beautiful.

while Emma was gone we decorated the house and ordered a cake and made mac n cheese and ordered pizza

a bunch of youtuber friends

Shane and Ryland, Trisha, Erik (Colleens fiancé), Alex Wassabi, Nikita, Tyler Oakley, hope, Kalel, Oscar, Joeys sister, Jenna, Rosanna and her boyfriend, Rachel (Colleens sister) Jojo Siwa and my mom.

around 5:30 I turned on the hot tub and heated the pool up.

Emma and Colleen would be back around 6.

around 5:55 we had everyone gather around the entrance hall. we saw Colleens car pull up at 6:02 pm. when the door opened Emma walked in and we all shouted,

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!!!!"

Emma jumped and she started crying.

Joey and I walked over and surrounded her in a hug.

"omg dads... you didn't have to do this!"

"we know but we want to make this the best birthday ever.

she showed us her nails and everything she bought with colleen.

we tried to pay colleen back but she refused. "Hey don't worry about it Daniel, I don't mind. its my nieces birthday. its the least we can do."

we had fun celebrating and swimming. at dinner I stood up to make a speech.

"Excuse me everyone id like to have your attention. thank you all for coming and making this the best birthday we could possibly have for our daughter, a year ago we had the sweetest little angel come into our lives. when we first found her at the adoption home she was as skinny as a piece of paper and wasn't well physically. she was picked on by the other girls. when we met her she wasn't snobby and all immature. she was shy but also really quiet. we knew she was perfect. we knew right there that Joey and I both wanted her. so we adopted her. Joey and I couldn't be more grateful for a better daughter. we love her more than anything and cant wait to watch her grow up to have her own love of her life, to have her own family, her own kids and to watch our grand children grow up. no matter how old she gets she'll always be Joey and I's little girl and we will always hold her hand through the journey of her life. ill never let anyone or anything ever hurt her. we will always love her to the ends of the earth and back"

when I sat back down Emma was sobbing. I pulled her into my lap and rubbed my hand up and down her back.

she kissed my cheek. 'Thank you daddy, I love you so much"

I had tears prick my eyes.

"your welcome sunshine. we love you so much"

she crawled into Joeys lap.

"Thank you daddy, I love you so much thank you for choosing me"

joey kissed her head and hugged her tightly.

we spend the rest of the night in the pool and hot tub hanging out with everyone.

then came time for her presents.

what Emma got from colleen-

-nail polish and nail kit

-candy

-starbucks gift card

what Emma got from Shane and Ryland

-shanes new merch and his book

-new clothes

-fuzzy socks

What Emma got from trish

-ipad and charger

-apple money

-beats

emma also got some baking treats and Rosannas books. she also got Jojo bows from Jojo and she got a ton of youtuber merch and a ton of candy and gift cards.

after everyone left we gave her our present.

she opened her new phone and laptop and loved it. Joey also gave her a copy of Rebels Of Eden.

as everyone started leaving around 11 she gave everyone a hug but gave colleen a bigger hug.

"Thank you for the great day Aunt Colleen, I love you"

she smiled. "aww your welcome, well definitely go have another girls day soo . I promise. or we can have a girls sleepover at my house this weekend!" Emma smiled. "Id love that" colleen nodded. "Ok ill facetime you later this week then"

everyone left and emma jumped into our arms and gave us hugs and kisses.
"Thank you daddies. this was the best present ever. I love you both so so much"

joey and Emma went upstairs to get ready for bed and I cleaned the kitchen and let the dogs out before going to bed myself. when I made it upstairs I found Joey asleep with Emma next to him curled up on his chest. I didn't want to move her so I figured she was ok to sleep here, considering it is her birthday.

I slowly got into bed and tucked Joey and Emma in.

"good night princess and my handsome prince. I love you both so much. you make my life so much better" I said softly.

I heard joey speak softly. "I love you Danny. so much."

I kissed his forehead and then curled up next to him before falling asleep.
