Yugi's POV

Bakura had gone out to get some breakfast ordering his 6 guard dogs to guard every door of the house, even some windows. "I'm bored!" I shouted. *you get bored really easily* 《I know, do you think Bakura has any games we can play?》 *I don't know* suddenly Yami threw a pillow at me, I smirked "Pillow Fight!" I shouted trying to smack Yami with a pillow, only to be hit in the face by a pillow my yami threw at me. I dramatically fell to the ground "ah, you got me! Tell my family I love them" I said overdramatic as I played possum. *so overdramatic aibou* I burst out laughing 《it was fun though》 *you're so adorable and weird* 《says the 5000 year old pharaoh having a pillow fight with a 15 year old boy》 *touche little one* 《hahaha》 *don't you have homework to do aibou?* 《no, I finished it this morning while you were still sleeping》 *ok, let's go see if there's anything good on TV* 《ok》 I replied as I headed upstairs to the theater room 《I didn't expect Bakura to live in a mansion》 *he said a friend had left it to him in his will. Paid off with many different rooms including an arcade, a movie theater, an indoor swimming pool, a karaoke bar, a spa and 14 bedrooms* 《it has everything someone needs to live a comfortable life》 *it's big and lonely though, that's probably why he was so excited that you wanted to stay with him* 《wait, if this place has over 21 rooms and he only has 6 dogs, whose guarding the rest of the rooms?》 *uh, I don't know* suddenly manical laughter filled the room, sending shivers up my spine. I backed away 《it's Malik, he's inside with us!》 I jumped as a shadow past by the hallway. *quick, call Bakura!* I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed Bakura's number but just as he answered, someone tackled me pinning me to the ground. "BAKURA! HELP!" I screamed as Malik crushed my phone and dragged me into the darkness. I struggled, trying to kick him but I couldn't see anything. My puzzle was removed and thrown roughly against the wall "Yami!" I screamed as the puzzle broke. "No!" I shouted as I was dragged into one of the bedrooms. "Yami" I whimpered before I felt pain spread through my body. I stopped struggling, lost without my partner. All I could feel was pure hatred for Malik as I quickly overpowered him and released my rage on him.

Bakura's POV

I was just about to leave the restaurant when I received a call from Yugi. "Hello" I answered before I could hear a loud crash and screaming from the other phone "BAKURA! HELP!" I heard Yugi scream before the line disconnected. I shoved my phone back into my pocket and sprinted back to my house, breakfast completely forgot. I grabbed Arufa and headed inside, I heard ferocious growling and screaming from upstairs. ¤the screaming sounds like Malik but that would mean the growling is coming from Yugi¤ I said as I cautiously walked upstairs, I froze when I noticed the millennium puzzle was in peices on the ground. I quickly gathered all the peices when Malik came sprinting down the hallway screaming before I saw glowing red eyes slide out of the room they were in and chase after Malik. ¤what the!¤ as the being stepped into the light I realized it was Yugi but he lacked the vibrant amethyst of his eyes and hair, instead the once purple sheen was a dull gray and his eyes were crimson. ●wha! What happened to the little hikari?● ¤pure hatred and rage for Malik, it destroyed his light¤ I stared down at the puzzle ¤the pharaoh was the only one keeping Yugi's darkness away and without him, Yugi has fallen prey to the darkness¤ ●you have to put the puzzle back together!● ¤I can't, only Yugi knows how¤ "Yugi!" I shouted trying to get his attention. He turned his attention to me and walked over, still growling. "Here, you need to put the puzzle together" I said. He gently took the peices and disappeared into into one of the rooms. ¤I'll give him time to complete the puzzle then I'll check up on him¤

[20 minutes later]

I patiently waited in the living room, hoping to see Yugi return with his cheerful demeanor. "Bakura?" I heard Yugi as he walked downstairs. His eyes were amethyst and his purple sheen was back. "Yugi!?" I shouted as I hugged him. He purred happily "what happened, I don't remember anything after I was dragged into the room" he replied. I looked confused ¤he doesn't remember his rage and hatred taking over¤ "what is the last thing you remember before blacking out?" I asked. "I remember feeling hatred towards Malik and then I blacked out, why? What happened?" He asked curious. ¤should I tell him?¤ ●it wouldn't be right to keep secrets from him● "well all I can tell you is from the time I came home, I heard growling and screaming. When I walked upstairs, I found your puzzle in peices on the floor. Malik bolted from the bedroom screaming about a crazed hikari, then you skidded out of the room with fierce crimson eyes and a gray sheen instead of purple. You roared like a feral animal and chased Malik down the hallway and out the door but he slammed the door shut before you could reach it, that's when I called you to get your attention. I gave you the peices of the millennium puzzle and you disappeared into the room" I answered. He stood there shocked, shaking in fear of his darkness. "I did that? I lost control!" He cried. "Woah, it wasn't your fault. Without your yami, your darkness overpowered you" I replied. Yugi buried his head in my shirt as he cried. ●it hurts to see him so defeated● ¤I might have an idea how to cheer him up¤ "hey Yugi, what do you say we go out for some burgers?" I asked. He instantly perked up "really?!" He said. "Yes, I know a place nearby who serves some amazing burgers" I replied. He started purring "yay!" He chirped. ●he's so freaking adorable!● I gently picked him up carrying him to the restaurant nearby. "Hello and welcome to Wolfson's Diner, how many?" The person asked. "Two" I replied as she led us to our table. She smiled as she noticed me holding Yugi "What's your name little one?" She asked him. "My name is Yugi" he replied. She turned to me "and What's your name?" She asked me. "Uh, Bakura" I replied nervously. "Are you friends with Yugi?" She asked. ●why would she care?● ¤I don't know¤ "uh, yes" I responded. Suddenly the door was slammed open and frustrated growls could be heard, Yugi shook in fear as he cuddled closer. "Why now?!" I said before turning to the woman "can you hold Yugi for me, this crazy psychopath has been trying kill him for the past two days" I said as I gently handed her the hikari. My millennium ring glowed as I let Baku take control. He growled "let's take this outside Malik" he commanded, not even giving Malik a chance to speak as he tackled him out the door.

Yugi's POV

I purred as the lady asked me some questions before I suddenly heard the door slam open and frustrated growling could be heard, I cautiously turned my head in that direction, shook in fear and cuddled closer to Bakura as I saw it was Malik. "Why now?!" Bakura asked annoyed. He handed me to the lady before he turned his attention to Malik. His millennium ring glowed before Yami Bakura took over. He growled "let's take this outside Malik" he commanded not even giving Malik a chance to speak as he tackled him out the door. Ferocious growling and screaming could be heard as Baku slammed Malik into the wall multiple times. I squeaked, covering my eyes as Malik got the upper hand and slammed Baku's head against the wall repeatedly. I couldn't just watch, my puzzle glowed as I gave control over to Yami. He kicked open the door and tackled Malik. "Fuck you both!" Malik growled before pulling out a knife and swung it, slicing Yami and Baku. "Ahh" Yami screamed. 《Yami!》 *I'm alright, he only nicked my cheek* 《you do realize that it's my body, any injuries you receive will remain when we switch back》 *sorry aibou, I didn't see the knife until it was too late* 《it's alright》 *guess this day was ruined* 《I still want a burger!》 *ok little one* I switched back with Yami. I looked over at Bakura, who was back in control. "Bakura? Are you alright?" I asked concerned. He turned to me and I could see the cut on his cheek, "ya, I'm okay" he replied before we headed back inside and ordered our food.

We returned to Bakura's house and watched a movie before going to sleep.
