Chapter 8

When I come back home after spending the afternoon with Ashton I lay in bed and decide to text Michael. After coming back to my senses I want to apologize for being rude earlier today.

"I'm sorry I was rude earlier, I was in a pissy mood )':"

He replies seconds later.

"You were on your period weren't you? (:"

I laugh. "Goodnight Mickey see you tomorrow :p"

I lay in the bed for the rest of the night just laying in bed. I hear Dani talking on the phone with Calum before quickly drifting off to bed.

In the morning I'm in a much better mood than yesterday and even though I would much rather stay in bed I force myself to get up and get ready for school.

I get on the bus with Dani and put my earphones on, I put the album Midnight Memories by One Direction without my sister realizing what I am listening to. I secreatly like 1D, I never told anyone about it because I feel embarrased about it but I still love them.

When I get to school Dani and I spread appart and make our way to our classes. While I am walking towards my 1st period I get stopped by Calum.

"Hey" Calum says walking up next to me.

"Hey??" I ask confused looking behind me to make sure he was talking to me. Calum never spoke to me at school before so I wondered why he stopped me in the first place.

"So I can I ask you something" he pauses "it's about Dani."

"What about Dani?" I ask him already feeling where this is going.

"Do you think she likes me?" he blurts out looking worried.

I let out an empty laugh. Of course Calum likes Dani, she's pretty, sweet and has confidence yet she can be shy which makes her cute and make you really want to get to her know better. Before I can say anything Calum stops me.

"I want to ask her on a date, but I don't.. I don't know.. I'm not sure" he stutters.

I stop him by putting my hand on his shoulder. "Calum just go for it I think she would love to go out with you sometime."

Now that I think about it Dani's never been on a real date before. She's had a couple boyfriends before but nothing serious, after a week of two they would break up but they would never go on dates together so I wouldn't call that a relashionship.

"Okay thanks Lou see ya around!" Calum finally answers.

"Kay see ya?" I say but he's already gone probably getting prepared to ask my sister out but my thoughts are interupted by the sound of the bell anouncing it's time to head to my first period.

My day passes by quickly, I eat lunch with Michael and I see Ashton eating in the back of the lunchroom watching something on his laptop. Michael catches me staring at him and eyes me.

"Ashton?" he asks me.

"Huh yeah we're friends. Kinda well, I am i'm not sure but I it's complicated because we did hang out but like it was awkward. But like hes okay he's fine, i'm fine like.." I continue to babble but Michael stops me by laughing.

"Okay okay Lou I didn't ask you your life story with him" he laughs.

"Oh okay yeah i'm sorry" I try to stop talking. "Do you know him?" I finally ask.

He bites his cheek "hum yeah actually.. we used to be friends" he says. I'm suprised because I didn't think Michael and Ashton actually knew eachother.

"Ooh reallly?? How come you used to be friends?" I ask curious.

"Something happened. It's actually quite stupid and kind of funny.."

"You have to tell me then! What happened?"

He shruggs. "Fine. Okay so we were hanging out freshman year at my house and Ashton had brought cigarettes, and we decided to try to smoke some together.. So we started smoking and my mom caught us in my room and she got super pissed and kicked out Ashton from my house and interdicted him to ever come back. After that I felt pretty embarassed and we just stopped talking" he finishes almost laughing.

My eyes light up and I can't retain myself from laughing almost chocking on my food. I couldn't believe Ashton starting smoking as a freshman but the story was still pretty funny.

I look back at Ashton and he catches my eye and smiles.

After lunch, I head to my two remaining classes. In P.E. I manage to do 6 pushups. I'm such a non-athletic person and it's kind of embarrasing at times. I can see people laughing in the corner of the gym but this girl walks up to me instead.

"Hi i'm Eleanor and I suck at gym aswell" she laughs.

She seems nice, she has long black hair falling almost to her bum and a stunning face, she's also skinny which would make me think that she does work out a lot but apparently not. Maybe she's just got good genes.

"Hi i'm Lou" I tell her.

The rest of the period we talk and we suprisingly have many things in common including that we both love the tv show Friends. I'm happy I made a friend in this class so P.E. will be more fun in the future.

My last class is Math and we learn all this algebra stuff that I don't even listen to and instead I doodle in my notebook. By the end of the class the bell rings and I can't be happier that this class is over.

I head to the bus stop and I hear my sister yelling behing me.

"Lou! Louuuu! Guess what?" she asks me way over excited about something.

I finally remember about Calum wanting to ask Dani out so I guess that's what she's so happy about.

"Calum asked you out" I reply casually.

"How do you know?"

"Wild guess" I laugh to myself.

My sister looks at me confused but she still has a huge grin on her face, and that's when I realize.

Shit my sister has way better dating game than me.
