I was in the kitchen with mom helping her with the snacks and platters when mama came into the kitchen and stopped in her tracks. "Oh my god " she said with her arms out in front of her "what" mom asked her carrying a plate as i made more of my famous cheese sauce for people to dip with. "I meant to pick up some guacamole from that place you love" mama stressed "Oh that stuff's so good to" mom said putting a plate on the sink as mama told her she got distracted by the other kids. I laughed at moms dramatics to make mama feel guilty, which already was happening. Jesus and lexi tried to sneak up the stairs "hey where do you think your going" mom asked them they turned around "Can't we just go up and play video games" he asked i shook my head at my brothers forget of the rules.
"No, no you know the rules no girls allowed in your bedroom unless one of us is upstairs" mom reminded him "So were just supposed to stay here hang out with your lame old friends all night sandra just spent 20 minutes telling us how she installed her own toilet that's not fair" Jesus complained, "No what's not fair is when i make you start cleaning up all the dirty plates around the house because you just called our friends lame and old knock yourself out" mom said giving him a trash bag i laughed and walked into the living room. I saw mariana setting down a platter of cheese and stuff but stopped when she saw great they talked making me smile.
I was helping callie put the silverware into the napkins and putting them into the holder B came over. "Having fun" he asked carrying something "It's kind of a weird party" she said as we rolled some napkins "Yeah our moms have a lot of weird friends" B told her "I mean everybody's nice" Callie said before i heard wyatt's voice "Hey" brandon and i turned to look at him "Hey what's he doing here" He said looking down "I invited him" she stated.
I zoned out of their conversation looking around at all the people , i smiled seeing everyone smiling. It was finally over everyone left besides wyatt "Did you get enough to eat jude" mama asked wyatt came over and set down a plate well at least tried to mama grabbed it before it was set on the table "Ok see this is a dry dish" Mama praised "And this is me not caring" Jesus retorted showing mama an unamused face. Mom came into the kitchen "Watch your mouth young man" she scolded "What if you like how he does it so much better he can come over every night and do it " jesus said walking around the table making me and mom laugh.
"So jenna told me that garret is doing some poetry slam" mama informed all of us "Oh yeah" mom asked stacking containers in her arms "yeah" mom confirmed. "I was thinking maybe we could all go if he makes it to performance round " mom stated "It'd be a nice break from volleyball and television" mama said "Might even learn something" she said as she walked away.
"I'm in" Mariana smiled "ooh learning cool" Jesus said sarcastically "I'll go" Jude smiled "Not your thing" mama asked from here spot next to callie "No,no just yeah it's not my thing" she said after trying to think of an excuse.
Mama told her it was her choice and if she wanted to join us. Wyatt started to leave but shook mom hand and judes making me and B shake our heads. After everything was done i went upstairs to shower and went to bed.
