Chapter 22

We've been back in LA for a couple of days, and I'm pretty sure people are starting to catch on to the fact that David and I have something going on.
Something going on, as in something that we both don't know how to describe.

We're not technically together, but we call each other babe, sleep together, and tell each other we love them.

So we're as confused as everyone else, basically.

But I'm okay with it honestly.

We don't need to throw a label on anything and rush it.

Currently, everyone is over at David's, including Liza. So far it's been pretty normal with her here, and she doesn't even seem too uncomfortable about the fact that David and I are sitting together.

"So are you guys dating?" Scott asks, and I can feel myself blush.
"No," I say with a giggle and David shifts slightly.
"Then why'd you guys go to Hawaii together?" Todd asks, his eyebrows furrowing and I'm left feeling stuck.
"Well actually," David starts, standing up.
He disappears and I look around confused.

He comes back holding a small box.

I look at everyone in the room to see if they know what's going on, but they don't even look at me. Just at David.

"Natalie. I know we've been something strange for a little while. Would you officially be my girlfriend?" David asks me, still holding the small box. My eyes widen, not from excitement, just more shock that he's doing it in front of everyone.
1. David's not one for this kind of attention.

2. Everyone thinks he and Liza are still dating, so this is risky.

3. No one even knew anything was going on.

"Did all of you know?" I ask and they smile, some giving small nods.
"Are you going to answer him?" Corinna says impatiently and I chuckle.
"Of course," I turn to David beaming. He pulls me into a hug, before pecking my lips.

He hands me the small box, and I open it to see a necklace with a small diamond from Tiffany.

I look at it and see it's Tiffany's famous 'return to Tiffany' necklace, but instead it says 'return to David' and I feel tears come to my eyes.
"I love it," I whisper to him, forgetting that everyone was there.
He pulls me to lean against his chest, pulling me into a hug that I couldn't escape from even if I wanted to.

Everyone cheers, causing me to laugh.

This is so surreal.
But so perfect.

Everyone stays for a while, as we spend the next few hours filming, laughing, drinking, and whatever else we could possibly think of doing.

Liza left pretty early, saying she had work to get done, and people left at a slow pace.

Now, there's Kristen, Scott, Todd, and Corinna left with David and me.

We had done just about everything, and now we're trying to figure out what else we could do.

"Oh my gosh we should do a couple challenge," Corinna says excitedly. It would be a great idea, had David and I already gone public. But he did just ask me to be his girlfriend a matter of hours ago, so not really ready to be public yet.
"We're not really public yet," David tells her and she rolls her eyes.
"When are you planning on going public?" Kristen says taking a sip of her water.

David and I look at each other and shrug.
I haven't really thought about it, and I don't think he has either.
It's not an important step for me, really, because I know that once we do go public, we're going to have to deal with all of the backlashes from social media.
"I feel like he should go public about not being with Liza first," I say, and everyone agrees. I think we've all forgotten they haven't come forward about that yet.

They all decide to leave, leaving David and me home alone.

"I love the necklace by the way. Thank you," I tell David, kissing his cheek.
"You deserve it, and more," He says cheesily, and I roll my eyes.

"Way to be high school," I tell him and he laughs.
Suddenly, both of our phones start blowing up.
Text messages from friends, followers, messages, everything.
I look up to see David also confused, and so I start looking at the texts.

Kristen: dude you need to check youtube.

Corinna: check youtube now

Mom: call me

Dad: you need to call us

Shawn: lol what a joke

Jason: are you with david? Go to youtube asap

I look up to see David already pulling out his laptop to pull up youtube.
The fact that we both received texts about it makes me worried.

My hands start clamming up, and I sit down next to David, not taking my eyes off of the screen.
"What the fuck," David and I say at the same time, as youtube loads.
