Cassadi's POV

"I don't think I can do this." Hali said turning around to go towards the end of the line.  "Girl get a grip. you haven't missed one day of practice and you have Cassadi that has missed just about everyday and is about to go out their and attempt to 'nail it' as she says." Madison said slinging her hair around smacking Maddie in the process. "Hey hey hey i'm not going to attempt I'm about to nail it!... And i don't say nail it a lot. Nailed it!" Every one turned around and quirked an eyebrow at me. Now when I say everybody I mean Hali, Madison, Maddie, and Merrill Ann. When I think about it I do say that a lot. "Don't worry about all the 10,000 people sitting out their watching you and that if we lose you will never get to meet the all time famous One Direction boys..." Madison was cut off by Maddie. "You will be fine just perform what you know and you will be fine." We are on a singing show and we are competing tonight for runner up and first place. so if we get runner up that is basically the first loser.

"Everybody give it up for Up Beat!" The announcer yelled. The next thing I knew Merrill Ann was shoving me out on stage. I was the only one not in heals or wedges. I had a black jersey dress on and black lace stockings on and White Nike High tops. I'm the one in the group that is Sportsy and laid back. "Hello EVERYBODY!!!" I yelled into the mic. The music started playing we had to perform a One Direction song since if we win we would be singing with them for 8 months straight. So we were singing Half a Heart.

The music started my part was coming up and I haven't been to practice but 45 minutes of one day, so here goes nothing.

     So your friends been telling me you've been sleeping in my sweater and that you can't stop missing me Bet my friend's been telling you I'm not doing much better 'Cause I'm missing half of me.

I poured my heart into that song because I'm not very sentimental so they picked this song (I say they because I was at an amusement park while they picked it) I knew I had to at least act sentimental. The song finished and I was out of breath but at the same time ecstatic. I don't know why, but it just feels like we all belong on the stage together not just four or one all five of us. Now it's time for the judges to tell us what they thought.

"Well I'm very pleased with the song you chose and how you performed it. It was well choreographed and planned out." The lady with the blonde hair which I can never remember her name.

"The song was a great choice. I'm very pleased with the song that we picked out and I have a surprise for the audience. Play the film." Simon our mentor said. I looked at the screen and it was a video of the girls practicing and all hot and sweaty and then like a few seconds after they finished I walked in with a bag of chips and a sprite. I can't believe he showed that video. 

"Now since I showed that the point was to show you that some of them may nit be at practice everyday or any day at that matter," Hey raised his eyebrows at me. "but they can come out here and kick some ass just like they did tonight." Simon concluded.

"So Cassadi can you explain yourself, do you just think you are good enough that you can just get up here and perform?" The man that introduced us said. UGH RUDE!!!! "Umm I'm not trying to give off that vibe, I'm just the type of person that some would say I trust in my instinct to much. But yeah I hardly ever go to practice because three reason. 1. It's way to early in the morning 2. I wing a lot of things and 3. I can't be tamed in a room for that many hours." Madison decided to butt in, but I didn't mind. "She practices outside if she ever comes to rehearsal so she does practice. Just not in a confined area." I nodded my head in an agreement.

We got off stage and went to the dressing room to sit and wait for the votes to be tallied and all. "Was it just me or has that man just never liked me ever since I ever came on this show?" I asked to nobody in particular. "I was ready to bring at my demon side on him." Madison said pretending she was a demon which is very scary. I plopped on the couch, but as soon as I did Simon walked in.

"Ladies I'm so proud of you all." I raised my hand. Simon looked over at me. "Yes Cassadi?" "Can you toos me that bag of ships over their or crisps as you liked to call them." I said in my best British accent I could do. "Gahh how does she eat so much during a time like this." Hali came out of no where. "It's because she never gets nervous, but if she loses you better be a mile away from her and don't press the wrong button. Ask Merrill Ann she knows." Simon looked at Merrill Ann. She tilted her chin up."you see that scratch their. That's from like five months ago." Simon just nodded and backed away. "Oookkayy anyways do not be disappointed it y'all lose because y'all were amazing. You have always tried your hardest and nobody can take that away from you."

"THREE THREE FOUR WHAT TIME IS IT? IT'S TIME TO GET CRUNK AND IT'S TIME TO REPRESENT!" We all screamed in unison after the security guard came in and told us to go to the stage.

"The time has come and the winner is............ UP BEAT!" The announcer said. Oh my gosh did he just say up beat? My heart is pounding in my head. It felt like everything was going in slow motion and the streamers came down and Simon was coming up. I jumped on to Maddie's back not knowing what else to do. "Oh my freaking gosh we just won this thing." I shouted still again to no one in particular. 

"How does it feel to win?" The announcer said. Maddie was the first one to speak up. Leave it to her to speak up. "Umm it feels so unreal and amazing. Umm I don't really know what to say I'm speechless." Maddie said in conclusion. I piped up just to make him mad and to thank the people who voted. "Thank you to everyone who voted and to everyone who believed in us. I just want to thank Simon personally for doing what a great job he has done. Without him we would not be standing here right now. I also want to thank my parents and everyone else's parents for supporting us through this period in our life. And PENGUIN LOVES SPORTS!!!" The rest of the girls just started bursting out laughing. It's an inside joke.

We are back in the house thing that they host packing everything up, because we leave tomorrow morning to go back home to see family for a couple of days before we head off with ONE DIRECTION. There was a knock at the door. "I'll get it." I hollered cause I was in the kitchen downstairs.

I opened the door to see the boys standing their. "Hello I"m Liam from One Direction." Why were they here. I'm so going to mess with them. "OH MY GOSH IT'S ONE DIRECTION! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ONE DIRECTION I THINK I'M GOING TO FAINT!!! OMG SOMEONE SAVE ME." By then the other girls were coming down the stairs. Merrill Ann was the only one laughing because she knew I was going to do this. "Cassadi shut up and let them in." Hali yelled form the bottom of the stairs. I sobered up from my fake explosion. "So Hi!! I'm Cassadi and I'm absolutely sure that I should be in a mental institution, but I'm here sooo come on in." All the other girls were cracking up now. 

"She is just kidding she is a fan, but she's not going to act like that every time. That was a fake one because she wanted to see your expression when you found out your were going to be around a nutcase for the next eight months." Madison said as seriously as she could. Niall leaned over and whispered something in Merrill Ann's ear and she replied. "She is always hyper and fun to be around and loves sports, but she's not always like she was when she opened the door." Niall looked relieved when she said that. "Y'all should've seen y'alls eyes they were huge!" Harry grinned then said "Where are you from?" Maddie said Southern Alabama in the USA." She smiled. ME being me I still wanted to mess with them "Why your not going to kidnap us then kill our family are you? Please don't I love my dogs I need them don't do it." I fell on the floor pretending to be dead. I sat up and saw Liam recording me on his phone. "You did not just record me did you?' I asked pretending to be mad. "Yes but Simon wanted me to send it to him so he could see how you acted when you met us." He replied kind of shakily. "You shouldn't be scared of me unless you touch my food, or if I lose at something." I said as nice as possible. 

"Not trying to be rude, but what did y'all come here for?" Merrill Ann asked. Which she earned and elbow from Hali and Maddie. Me and Madison Just enjoyed it because most of the time it's us getting elbowed. "We just wanted to meet the group that we were going to spend the next eight months with, but we have to be going to we will see y'all later OK?" "OK" We all said in unison. They all looked at us strange. "Get use to it." We said in unison again not meaning to. They looked at each other then we said our good byes and they left. 

"Cassadi did you have to act like that?" Hali asked serious. "Because I wanted to have some fun with them plus I don't want them to like me for who I"m not. I'd rather them not like for who I am then like me for who I'm not." I raised my eyebrows at her because I cna't raise just one so I have to raise both.
