Somewhere, in a hidden place in the earth, a princess lived in a magnificent kingdom surrounded by huge walls that protected the kingdom from evil. The princess was beautiful from the inside as from the outside. His father, the king, was respected by his subjects for being a loving and caring person. One day, an ill man tried to cross the walls. The king found out about this, but he was so kind that he opened the doors of the kingdom for the man. The king didn’t know what was about to happen.

The next morning, the man got recovered. Nobody knew that he was a malicious creature who had the power to get into people’s minds and have the total control over them. That night, the creature attacked several people in the kingdom, causing fear in the people. That’s how the insecurity began in the kingdom. The king didn’t know how to control it, and it became worse within the time. One night, while the kingdom was in chaos, the creature got inside the castle, but the king managed to run away with his daughter and leave her in the woods. The creature murdered the king, and he was more than satisfied with the king dead and the princess lost, so he left the city, thinking that it would end being destroyed by its’ own people.

The princess was around 24, so she knew perfectly what was happening. She waited until the people in the kingdom calmed down so she could return back and reign. The young and new queen achieved to get people ahead, but the creature discovered this so he began a deep hatred for the queen. A hatred that wanted to torture her and make her watch the people she loved destroyed in pieces.

The creature, who was a powerful magician, managed to get into people’s minds and convince them that the queen was a mean person. The people of the kingdom cornered the queen until they reached a mausoleum, and there they cursed her, turning her into a stone.

Despite being trapped under the stone, she was still alive. She could watch everything that happened in the kingdom, but she couldn’t do anything. Although her body lied under the rock mantle, you could still hear her heart beating to the rhythm of the angels' harps waiting for her soul in Heaven. It seemed like the queen didn't have plenty of time before her soul would split out of her body, but her heart never ceased. It kept beating and beating. It never stopped, not even a second.

The guardian angels from heaven saw this. One of the guardian angels came down to earth to take the princess' spirit, and let it rest in peace, but the princess said:

“My heart will always beat for my people. It will never stop, as long as I keep loving my kingdom.”

The guardian angels gathered and discussed about the loyalty for her kingdom the queen vowed. They agreed to release her body out of the stone prison, and they would give her another chance to live with the condition of saving her people from the malicious creature.

She was released from her stone prison. As the angels turned back to heaven, she knew she had no more chances, so she didn’t give up and came back to her kingdom.

She was alone. The people betrayed her but her love for the kingdom wouldn’t end. She fought the beast, and when he was almost dead, the people came back from the monster’s mind control. They cornered the beast and finally killed it.

The whole kingdom celebrated they were finally free from the creature, but when they turned to the queen, she was dead. Her heart could not resist any more, but her soul left peacefully to heaven, knowing that she saved her kingdom.

The people in the kingdom built a statue in her memory, and named her the Stone Princess. She wasn't called like that because of the curse she had to fight with, but because, even though she had the chance to leave and rest in peace, she decided to stay to save her people. That kind of bravery made her strong as a stone, and bold as herself.
