I never felt surreal in any places. Not until I accidentally come to Magic Shop. I'd never know there's a shop like this in our area.
"Welcome Miss!" An old woman around 50's greeted me in the door before I enter. I give her a smile as an answer. I was amazed by the beakers and test tubes orderly placed or hanged with different colours on it. The whole room was surrounded by it making this shop magical.
There's also a pendulum clock that makes a soft ticking sound and an old radio playing a Gaelic Irish music.A particular colour catches my attention. It was located above , hanging on the chandelier. Its colour was pink change to maroon, and then to red. The first time my eyes met it, I know there was something on it. It feels like it was an curse message and was begging to scrutinize.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" An old woman around 60's asked. I give her a smile.
"Yeah. It's beautiful yet a mystery.""Mystery?" She asked again, but now she's smiling.
"It feels like its a curse that must be avoided." I answered seriously.
"Let's see."
She waved her hand and murmur something that I don't understand. I think she spoke Irish.
I was shocked to see a glittering glitters came up on her hand with a purplish smoke. It came up and took the potion we are talking about.
"What was that?" I asked her, shocked."Magic." She answered shortly.
She handed me the potion and said, " Take this. Always bring this with you and see what will happen."
I don't know what's the purpose of giving me this but there something telling me that trust her.
"Now go home. It's getting late." She push me softly out of the shop.
"Wait! What's your name?""Fionnuala."
"I'll come again tomorrow, okay!"
"You will..." She said, smiling. I gave her a hug before turning my back away from her. I have known her just a minutes ago but feels like we've known each other for a long time. And our hug gives me happiness to the core. Why is that?
I looked up the sky, I haven't notice that its really this dark. I bid her a goodbye. I run through the slim path away from the Magic Shop.
"...not."
It was my first time on that place, where everything is surreal, and I've never imagine it was the last.
