If we're being honest here, Corey was not that cute.
I thought to myself, looking up at him, the flashing TV illuminating his already pale face in the dark room.
His deep brown hair was a mess and slightly sweaty (an after effect), but his jet black eyes flashed with satisfaction.
I honestly wasn't sure why I was here in his parents spacious ranch style home. Shallow party boys usually were not my type, but we had somewhat of a connection before I left on my 2 week humanitarian trip to Peru this summer, so I didn't think to much of it.
Plus, I wanted a boyfriend my upcoming senior year, and with a little molding, Corey could play the part. Possibly.
I slid his arm off my waist, reach for my tank top, and check my phone. My mom didn't know I was over here, so I was just waiting for her to check the tracking app on her phone and call to tell me i'm grounded forever.
Thankfully, I had no missed calls or text messages from her on my lock screen of pictures of me and my best friends, Sarah and Taylore. I did notice though, that it was already 2:10.
"Shit," I said as I sat up all the way. "What?" Corey asked disinterestedly, his gaze fixated on Southpaw playing on the giant movie room screen. "I gotta get to work, I'm probably gonna be late," I said, slinging my purse over my arm as I stood up.
I exited the movie room doors, behind me I could hear Corey standing up and following me out to his spacious entryway. I was nearly out the door.
"I really was not expecting that from you," He said, stopping in the doorway, his wide mouth in a half smirk, but he still sounded genuinely surprised.
"Yeah?" I said laughing a little, "Well I guess you just didn't know me yet."

Later that night, I was packing my backpack for the first day of school tomorrow when my phone buzzed with a text from Taylore.Senior year bitch!! Let's make this story worthy.
I just laughed. Knowing me and my best friends of almost 6 six years, this one will definitely be interesting. But looking back on it, I had just no idea.
