Part 13 ~ over the rainbow

KJ was in the hall, passing Lili's door when he stepped in some glass, of course he blamed Lili. KJ didn't like Lili, so he got really mad at her every time, even if she didn't do anything.

So, when KJ stepped in the glass he walked into her room, but what he saw, what he saw was making his head explode.

He saw Lili, she was sitting on Cole his lap and they were kissing after Cole told her not to worry about KJ. When KJ saw that he felt betrayed, he felt like the only thing that he really trusted just left him.

You could say that it's bullshit that KJ was so touched by what he saw, but before you that I'm going to take you back in time, let's say 2013.

KJ was 13 years old and his whole life was a big mess, a huge mess. His mom; the women who took care of him, loved him and would always protect him was gone. His mom died in a car accident. KJ felt miserable and his dad wasn't a big help.

Keneti was also touched by the death of his wife and he couldn't handle those feeling, but alcohol could. So that's what he did, at night he was drinking and at day he was sleeping.

But KJ had one person that he talked with, he trusted him and he always there for him; Cole. So, everyday after school KJ went home with Cole until his dad started picking up life again.

Cole and KJ were always very close, but after the death of his mom they were inseparable. If KJ was lost, Cole was lost, if KJ was angry, Cole was angry. They never had a fight or disagreed, they were Cole and KJ.

After the death of his mom KJ didn't really trust his dad anymore, cause they were both changed. They didn't really know each other.

Basically Cole was the only real person in his life that he trusted. He complained about Lili when he was with him and it always seemed like he hated her too.

And now he saw Cole with his stepsister, how long did they do this? For how long was Cole lying to him?

KJ felt like screaming, yelling, crying, punching. All his felling were boiling, everything was boiling. But he didn't want to hurt Lili, he didn't know why not, but he didn't want to, so he looked into Cole his eyes once more and then ran away.

Once KJ was outside he grabbed his phone and AirPods. He pressed on the first playlist he saw and the music started, he immediately recognized it; it was one his mom's favorite songs. When he couldn't sleep she started humming it for him and when she was happy she was dancing on it like everything was amazing.

Normally the song would make him cry, but now it didn't. It was like his mom was telling him that everything was going to be fine, that he was strong enough to fix it.

He could hear his mom singing the song, he could see her dancing. Right in front of him on the street.

He missed his mom, he was always scared that he was going to forget her, that after some time she wasn't in his mind anymore.

But now it was like she was hugging him, like he was in bed again and he couldn't sleep. So she kissed him on the forehead and started to hum.

The anger was gone, he was calm, more calm then he has been in the past five years. He wasn't angry, he just felt so betrayed. But it didn't care at that exact moment, cause his mom was there. She was his guardian angel.
