I want to grow up
I want to grow up, grow old have kids
I want to grow up get married live the life I always wanted to live
I want to grown up not be beaten down at the age of 19 or shot at the age of 21
I want to grow up not fear the white mans gun
I want to grow up be brave and be free
I want to grow up and just be me
I want to grow up and be the surgeon I always wanted
I want to grow up not be a target or be hunted
But that's just the thing I want to grow up
