loaded souls

their minds filled with thick fog,
hearts with rusty cracks.

they longed and craved,
for that misty smoke to carry
them with it.

they wish that they were the
dust they were laying on.

they hoped they were like the lollipops
they were sucking on, nice to eat but will
disappear with every taste.

they wanted to glue back the remnants,
but the glue dried off and the remnants
rotted.

they dreamed to be the sun and moon,
to be the stars,

but in the end, all they could do was dream.
