29 DAYS BEFORE

"Stop screaming!!!" I clamp my hand hard over the girls mouth as she continues to throw her legs and arms around. Thomas already has her sister in the back of the van but this one doesn't seem to be co-operating.

She bites down hard on my hand and i wince as i remove it from her face. "You little bitch," i hold her hard with one arm as i examine my hand that is now bleeding in multiple places. My right arm loosens as she twists out of my grip and runs towards the street crying and stumbling.
"Go get her man! Hurry up we have to go!" Thomas yells at me from the van as i take off at a sprinters pace to stop her from telling anyone. The street lights shine just in front of us as i finally catch her and turn her to face me. I hit her hard on the side of her head with my fist, "Don't do it again or next time it will be a bullet through your skull, do you understand me." I firmly yet harshly whisper to her. She nods her head in agreement.

I start to drag her back to the van when she all of a sudden digs her feet in and turns to me tears streaming down her face fear in her eyes, "Please let me and my sister go, we won't tell anyone. You are supposed to be protecting us." she pleads.
"Stop kicking up a fuss or both of you will be left here to die, after i shoot you." She shuts up and nods her head. The last time she ever tries anything on our way back to the van. I shove her inside and close the door behind us.

The roof light reflecting off my badge before enclosing us in darkness.
