She hurried down the stairs heading to the kitchen.
Balty prepared a light meal for herself. People had lost appetite in this house. She just cooked enough for her stomach to avoid wasting since no one else would eat. As she sat down to eat, she glanced at her phone it was 7am.
Her nanny came in humming some old tune. She stopped humming and looking at her she said, "my girl today you'll get late. But worry not. I'm so sure that they will understand you my girl."
"Its ok nanny, i'll be on my way now."Balty said as she rushed out.
Nanny finished some chores and made a proper breakfast. She took it to the dining table. Mrs. Broomley was in the living room. She was barking into the phone's receiver. She informed the person on the other end that he was required to come home immediately.
"My boy Henry has no plans of coming home huh?"Nanny commented once Mrs.Bromley had hung up.
"That stupid boy listens to no one"Mrs. Broomley breathed out as he caressed her templates. Her eyes were tired, she had bugs : evidence that she hadn't slept for days.
"Ma'm breakfast is ready"
Taking her car keys Mrs. Broomley told her,"No. I need to see our lawyer....and i need to process some papers too...and i have to meet several people ...i am late . But don't worry I have packed some snacks." And with that she was out.
Nanny sadly looked at the untouched breakfast. She kind of regretted putting more effort on something that would not be consumed. She then proceded to her other chores hoping that things would soon go back to normal.
