~What language do people who were born deaf think in? ~
Léna
"Hey Líon" I called skeptically. I was sunk into the big boudoir chair that sat in the library. My legs flung over the arm rest and the skirt from my dress spread all over the place. I knitted my eyebrows as I twisted the Terry Renner knife in my hand, the point pressing against my pointer finger on my other hand.
"Mhm" He hummed, not even taking a second to glance up at me from his book from the opposite side of the room.
"If I was to chop my hand off right now, would it hurt?" I asked, staring at the gold handle the reflected the light.
Líon snapped his head to look at me incredulously. He slammed his book shut.
"Of course it would hurt Léna, don't even think about it" He warned slowly.
"But where would it hurt?" I raise a brow at him, continuing to twist the blade which visibly made him uncomfortable.
"Your hand" He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. But it wasn't. A slow smirk spread across my face and I pointed the blade at him.
"What hand? I chopped it off"
He stared at me with a blank expression. Slowly his rigid posture began to relax and he sank into the chair.
"Wow" He whispered. I pursed my lips and nodded at him smugly. Suddenly the big double doors burst open and in walked Alaric.
"Alaric, listen to this" Líon said amazed.
"Shut it, I don't wanna hear it" He grumbled. Líon rolled his eyes and I chuckled. Alaric stalked past us and towards the back bookshelf.
"Whatcha lookin' for?" I hummed as I jumped up from the chair and walked towards him. "Is it a boyfriend for me?" I grinned cheekily. He turned away from his frantic searching to give me a blank look. I widened my eyes and raised my hands in defense.
"Fine, you can keep him, jeesh" I muttered teasingly but made sure he could hear me. I began to back away while he glared at me.
"You're hilarious" He said bluntly.
"And pretty" I winked while skipping away.
"Yeah, pretty stupid" Líon grumbled. I grabbed the book on the table beside me and flung it at his head. He swore and looked up at me incredulously. I giggled and began walking away until I heard his fast doorsteps behind me. I looked back in fear and saw him racing towards me.
"Líon that's not fair, I'm in heels" I whined but that didn't stop him from scooping me over his shoulder and walking down the stairs. He laughed evilly, and loudly as he sauntered into the kitchen.
When he didn't stop at the island, I grew nervous and immediately started to panic when the back door came into view. I screamed and thrashed in his arms unexpectedly which sent us both flying to the ground.
"Ouch Léna" Líon whined.
"Whist " I snapped while standing up. I dusted off the dirt from my yellow retro swing dress and strutted off, but met Levi and Kate instead.
"Where are you off to?" Levi asked. I smile sand walked over to the key rack.
"I was gonna check out the 'mall', can't look this good and not show myself off huh?" I winked smugly.
"What dashing young soul gave you that piece of advice?" He asked knowingly. I grinned innocently and shrugged.
"It certainly wasn't her bitchy ass" Líon mumbled while he walked out the door, rubbing her head. Levi smacked the back of it as he walked past him.
