3- tonight at midnight.

It was midnight whenever I had heard the knock on my window, Brandon's face looking inside my room. I let him in and he instantly goes to sit on my bed, a place he had been before.

I walk over to him, "What did you...?"

My question is interrupted by his lips connecting with mine. I'm shocked, but I don't hesitate to kiss back. I lean into it, slowly reaching up and placing my hand behind his neck, playing with his curly hair. He pulls me closer and bites my bottom lip, and I grant him access almost immediately.

"Damn, Sage," he whispers huskily as our lips part. My fingers lift up to touch my swollen lips, and I let out a long sigh.

"Is that all you came over here to do?"

"That and," he pulls his shirt over his head and lays more comfortably on my bed, "To talk."

He pats next to him and I find myself by his side instantly, snuggling up to his warmth.

"What about?"

"This summer," there was a silence in the room before I finally responded.

"What about this summer?" Confusion took over my voice, but I had an idea of what he was talking about.

"Was it...good?"

At this point I didn't know whether he was referring to the sex or my actual summer.

"Yes...? Brandon are you okay?" I asked while raising my head from his chest.

"I'm fine, I just," he paused for a second.

"Let's just get some rest."

I didn't pressure on the strange conversation, even though I knew there was something wrong.

So, I laid my head back on his chest and slowly fell asleep to the sound of his beating heart.

I frowned and sent back a text.

'Tell me about it at school? ~ me.

I was currently sat in Brandon's car, waiting for him to come out of his house and take us to school.

"See how that took me ten minutes whereas you an hour." Brandon joked once he was finally in the car.

I slapped his chest playfully, "Just take me to school, Darrow."

The first thing I see when I get on school ground is both Hailey and Rowan exiting Hailey's mothers' minivan. I shiver at the thought of Rowan spotting me in his car.

"Want me to walk you in?" A kiss on the neck brings me back to reality.

"No... I-" my eyes divert to where the two girls stood, Brandon's doing the same.

"I see," his voice is soft.

"I'll see you later though? Tonight?"

His eyes light up at the mention, "I'll see you then."

As I walk towards the pair my phones vibrates, MonkeyMan has tagged me in a private photo.

"Hey," I greet, both of their heads turning towards me.
