The Genin stood tensely, no one moving a muscle at the pressure they felt on their shoulders after the arrival of the teen named Gaara. The murderous aura around him frightening every single one of them deep inside. The Suna ninjas feeling it the most.
Although [Name] could feel a chill running down her spine and beads of sweat falling down her back and face, there was also something else which she couldn't comprehend.
There was a sense of familiarity as if they were connected somehow. And even with all the warning flags running through her brain, her soul felt at ease.
Gaara ignored everyone else in front of him, directing his sole attention to his male teammate as he stayed facedown on the tree branch with his arms crossed, "You're an embarrassment to our village. Why do you think we came all the way here to Konoha?"
"P-Please listen to me, Gaara. T-They lashed out first..." trailed off Kankuro as he tried to explain himself, making any excuses and lies he could to avoid the redhead's wrath. However, Gaara's glare just hardened on him, "Damare! I'll kill you."
Meeting his eyes, Kankuro began quivering even more, "U-Understood, I was wrong. I'm sorry... I'm really sorry..." The blonde kunoichi moving to his side with hands risen in surrender.
Not minding them, Gaara turned to the Konoha ninjas calmly, some of the darkness in his tone and eyes vanishing, "I'm sorry about that."
Though his attention was mostly on Sasuke, slightly surprised that a rookie could injure his teammate with a mere tiny stone so easily. And he wasn't the only one analyzing the enemy. The Uchiha was also watching him intently, understanding that even though Gaara was the youngest in his team, he was also the strongest.
Feeling someone else watching him, Gaara took his attention away from the interesting rookie and stared at those in the ground. His green pools landing on [Eye Color] ones.
Thud... Thud... Thud...
Gaara felt his chest constrict with a sort of excitement much similar to what he felt when he took a life. The only difference he felt this time was that it wasn't her blood what he desired. Nor was it what the beast inside him desired.
The much-awakened beast roared inside his head, screaming words which were incorrigible since they were all muffled together. The loudness making the redhead knit his nonexistent brows in pain.
Covering it up, Gaara turned into sand and traveled down to the ground right in front of his teammates. His body taking back its original form once there. "Let's go. We didn't come here to play around."
"I know." answered Kankuro fearfully, the kunoichi and him following after the redhead without question.
"Sho tto matte!" Sakura hastily stopped them, walking forward. Once the Suna Shinobi stopped and asked her what it was, she interrogated them, "Judging from your headbands, you're Sunagakure Ninja, right? Without question, the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind are allied nations. But the arbitrary coming and going of shinobi is supposed to be prohibited by the treaty. State your purpose. Depending on it, we may not be able to let you go..."
Bored at the conversation, Takashi stayed back, his brows lifted as something finally clicked, "Wait... First it was Genin from Kusagakure and now from Sunagakure..." his purple orbs trailed to his female teammate curiously, "Does it have anything to do with what you were about to mention earlier?"
Recalling what his brother meant from when they met that weirdo Kenzou and how [Name] was about to explain to them something about some exams, Renji nodded in her direction, "True. Is it related?"
