St. John's church

Esmeralda Augsburg came walking in the church, her eyes were distant as she walked up to the priest; "They're going to kill us all." She said in a voice that didn't sound like her own.

"Esmeralda what are you talking about?" The priest asked concerned.

"The Fallen are kill us all." She said.

The priest quickly looked around to see if anyone heard her ramblings, the people must never learn of the existence of the Fallen, that would lead to questions and the revealing of the Nephilim, the child of a Fallen and a human, and he couldn't allow it, it was his mission to protect them.

He'd been watching Esmeralda and clear that she had the gift of prophecy and her vision should be taken lightly; "How can we stop them?" He asked desperately.

"We can't, only a girl with pure human blood who bares the mark of Hope can lead us into battle."

"When will this battle take place?"

"When all the planets align." She whispered and lost consciousness.

"Rest now Gifted One." He picked up the Nephilim girl and set her on a church bench.

The priest sighed; he was no astronomer and did not know when the planets will align, which means he did not know when the chosen human would be born, so she cannot receive the proper training. There was only one solution; "Lynk I need to speak with you." He called.

Seconds later Lynk appeared from the back room; to the ignorant eye he looked like a teenage boy, but he was not, he was Angel sent from heaven to help take care and protect the Nephilim.

"What is bothering you Andrew?" He asked concerned.

"Esmeralda had a vision."

"So she is indeed a prophet."

"It seems so."

"What did she see?"

"A war that coming."

"A war, between whom?"

"The Fallen are going to attack the Nephilim."

"Over my dead body!" Lynk said enraged, "I will train the Nephilim harder and make sure they can beat the Fallen."

"I have no doubt that you could, but Esmeralda prophesied that only a girl of pure human blood that bares the mark of Hope can lead them into battle."

"That is ridicules."

"You of all people should know that it's useless to argue with a prophet."

"When will the Fallen attack?"

"When all the planets align."

"And when is that?"

"I don't know."

"But how do know when it's time?"

"We keep our ears open for another prophecy and our eyes for the mark of Hope."

"Let us hope we find her in time."

"That is all we can do."

"I will search all over the world until I find the chosen one." Lynk vowed, then left the church to begin his search.
