Chapter 12: Cliche

Chapter 12

Sh'lera's POV

3 long weeks have passed, no one bothered me. I'm glad because I didn't want anyone to see me like this. Roxy and Regina took the liberty in taking the kids to Roxy's house and letting them stay there until I was back on my feet. 

Really I didn't use those at all except to pee and get something to eat. And even when I was trying to get something to eat I would find nothing in the fridge, frustrated I would go out in the woods late at night and feed on small animals. 

And recently I just let all boundaries go and did some human ravaging. I was in some words drunk on flesh, it was sad it live with but so rewarding in the moment. Like smoking that first joint after that you can't stop. I wouldn't know because I-okay I did once with Mason a long time ago but that's in the past. 

I heard about Jess's engagement, she wanted me to join her on a trip to Italy. But I wasn't looking forward to it. Really I was thinking of ways to quietly divorce Adam,

And don't play around acting as if that was a shocker! Once I found out he had a kid with Jean on our freaking honey moon, you got another thing coming thinking I'm going to stick around. First off he cheated, he lied, and did what Charles did all those years ago. 

Now ask me how can I live, better yet be married with a man who did all that? Thinking of that made me wince and curl up tighter in bed. I was in bed so often the days started to blend together, really I couldn't tell you what day it was for my life!

I was liking Regina, I knew it was her the one who kept coming to the house paying the bills, doing things to maintain the house. She didn't speak, or try to talk to me when we did see each other which was good because I was invisible to her.

Then her came the guilt, the guilt that I should've had his kid. Maybe then he could've stayed with me and none of this would've happened. But who am I kidding? They made Sasha back then and having a kid now would've complicated things even more maybe bring Mason back around even harder with Jean working away at Adam.

I knew she was the one trying to break us up,  I was so blind to the signs and now I see. Oh damn I have to go pee! Moving my stiff muscles hurt more with each passing day, but I moved through the pain and welcomed it because it was the only real thing in my life. 

I rolled off the bed and landed on my feet, I stumbled some before gaining control and padding slowly towards the bathroom. My sensitive ears picked someone coming in the house, I sighed knowing it was Regina. I moved towards the bathroom much quicker, 

When I made it I locked the door and went about cleaning myself, I stripped off my soiled clothes and turned on the hot water, I didn't even wait I let the cold water hit me and it felt good when it started to warm up. I let my hair down and let it get wet before I went along washing it.  

I was rubbing the cream within my skin, it was sweet pea. I simple scent that opened the senses in every way. Regina left it on the counter for the first week, I threw out everything that reminded me of Adam in this room. It wasn't much because we didn't spend much time in this room if you catch my drift.

"Hey Sh'lera are you here?" I turned off the water and listened closer to who was calling my name? Regina already knew the deal and knew to let no one in? Who the hell was defying my Beta in return defying me a hurting Luna!

It was silent, "Shay?" I leaned out of the shower a little too far, and the shower rod and curtain all came down on top of me. I fell out of the shower landing hard on the cold tile. Ouch, 

"Sh'lera Maria Quinn answer me," I peered my eyes at the door, yup it was Mason. I was oddly thankful he was here but isn't this cliche he's the one in my house the second things aren't peachy with Adam? 

"I'm fine Mason really, you should leave." I suggested lifting my wobbling arms under me and struggling to get up. I was really weak from all this, "Are you hurt?" He asked totally regarding my last suggestion. 

"I'll repeat if you didn't get it the first time, I'm fine Mason really, you should leave." I was standing on my own feet while holding on to the counter for support. I looked at myself in the mirror, I had a small gut. I needed to burn that off ASAP. 

I flipped my head back in place and got a heated towel and wrapped my hair and then wrapped my body. I was ready to see Mason, when I un-locked the door and pulled it back I didn't see him. 

I went to my bedroom door and closed it, I quickly got dressed in a simply plaid dress and flats. I braided my hair and went downstairs. "Mason," I called out and nothing, I was a little disappointed he left. 

Oh isn't that cliche as well?

I turned around and saw him with a smirk, "I knew you missed me," I rolled my eyes and caught the tickets in his hands. "What are those?" 

"Tickets," 

"To where?"

"Italy," I cross my arms and look down at my feet, "For Jess's wedding, she invited you." 

'Italy is just for friends, it's like the vacation before the wedding. She wants to get away from what happened." 

I looked up at him interested, "What happened to Jess?" 

"I can't tell you that because you won't leave this beautiful house." 

I shrug it off, that was a lame excuse to get me out of the house. "Try again," 

"It has something to do with Alice," He whispers and I narrow my eyes at him for him to talk some more but his smirk gets bigger. I was getting fed up with his games, "Mason I swear-" 

"Remember the fun we use to have?" 

"No," 

"Ouch that hurts, I can't believe you forgot how we blew up that Bio lab-" 

"Because Miss. Welsh was having an affair and she black mailed us to keep quiet. So we blew up her work of science and men." I finished laughing at the memory, "Oh good times," 

Now we're here again with the awkward silence, "So why are you locked away in here?"

"Like you don't know," I scoffed waving it away, "No I don't," I was shocked, really everyone managed to keep this on the low? "Adam has a daughter with Jean and I've been here avoiding life as I know it." 

"Damn seriously,"
