I wake up with a bright light in my face and I'm confused of where I am. The last thing I remember is a voice talking to be and being put into a strange car...
"She's awake"
"Hello, Cierra, is it? Can you hear me?"
"W-what?" I jerk my self in an upright position. I am getting so damn tired of fainting and waking up in weird places.
"God dammit, what happened this time?"
"You fell at the corner of the cross walk, you nearly bled to death."
Well hearing that I finally realize the bone chilling pain in my knee. It hits me as I remember slicing it on the fence gate trying to get away.
"Oh...right." I say with a really annoyed tone. This is great. I can't go back to school because the two bastards at fault of all of this will be there. I remember the hurt and rage I felt. I'm trying my hardest not to relive it.
"So, how long do I have to stay off my feet? I'm guessing a month?"
"Actually, no."
The doctor enters the room, he's got law enforcement behind him.
"You can get up and walk around now, we put you in a brace which will slow you down, but you're mobile."
"Really?" I uncover my leg to reveal the said brace. "wow."
I get up and walk around the hospital bed. To my own surprise, I didn't face plant.
"It works nice but I can imagine the cost. This is why it's hell for me if I get hurt badly."
"Actually you pay nothing, the city paid for the cost because they were supposed to remove that little place years ago, but never did."
"Oh well um, why are there cops here?"
I turn my attention to the two suited officers that stand behind the doctor.
"They want to take you in for questioning."
"Huh? Why me? I didn't do anything! If anything you should be looking for the two dibshits that did this to me!"
There's the tears threatening again.
"Ms.D, calm down. We're not blaming you." The first officer speaks.
"Yeah, we have to first get profile descriptions to catch the people that did this to you, so that means we need you first."
Well don't I feel stupid.
"Oh, yeah, right. Okay lets go." I wipe the tears away. I'm a complete idiot.
I hobble my way out of the hospital and into the police car. I suprisingly still have my phone on me. I check my text messages. It's not good.
You're lucky you got away you little bitch, but we're not after you. We've got an even better plan. Message sent 11:10 PM May 22, 2014
"NO!" I scream, catching the attention of the officers in front. The passenger officer spins around in an instant and asks me what's wrong.
"They've got a different plan?!"
"What do you mean? If you mean harrasing you at school, we've notified your parents, and they're going to switch your school. We're going to the police station now and we'll get the descriptions and be on the hunt for the two suspects at once."
It hit me.
"NO! NO NO NO! I know what they're going to do! GET MY PARENTS OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW!"
"Get the cops at her house at once." The driving officer says.
"I'm gonna need a cop outside of Cierra's house. ASAP, they know where she lives."
I panic as the shear terror take over me. What if the cops don't get there in time? Will they really kill my parents? Just to get back at me? My biggest fear has always been becoming an orphan.
"Just hurry up and get them out...please..."
I start to cry and pray to God the cops will make it to my house on time...
