Surprisingly enough everyone made it to nyxs first practice my dad was a little late but it was expected. He wasn't thrilled to see jalen either but they kept the interaction between each other to a minimal and focused on nyx. They had him positioned at wide receiver and he was doing amazing. "Look at how much funny he's having."I smiled.

"Oh yeah. I told y'all he was going pro!"my dad said with all his focus on the field. "Dad he's 4."lai laughed. "So, all that means is we need to call out scouts earlier than usual."he said looking back at me. "Why you looking at me. You're the one with all the connections."I laughed. "I'll wait until he starts like middle school."he joked. "Okay dad." Shook my head.
Nyxs practice ended around 6:30 and he was so tired I'm gonna try and give him a early bedtime tonight. "You did amazing man." Jalen picked him up. "Can I spend the night with grandad and lovey?" He asked. "Sure. If that's ok with mommy."they both looked at me. "Yeah that's okay." I nodded. Jalen put him down and he ran over to my parents. "Since you're alone tonight you wanna get dinner?" Jalen asked. "No."I shook my head. "Why not?"he acted offended. "I mad at you." I shrugged. "What did I do now?"he laughed. "I did some thinking during his practice and I put two and two together and it didn't add up so I need you to explain something to me."I said. "Okay. what is it."he said very interested in what I was about to say. "When you were in Miami a few weeks ago you told me you haven't been in a relationship since we broke up but then last night you said you got involved with someone just a few months after we broke up."I turned my head to the side. "Liv are you being serious right now. We're finally on great terms. That was four years ago."he shrugged. "Jalen I don't care if you've seen other people while we were apart, im not even tripping on that. My problem is that you manipulated your way into getting me back."I said. "I'm sorry you're right."he grabbed my hands. "When am I not."I laughed playfully pushing him. "Ight. Gimme a kiss so I can go home."He laughed. I thought about it for a minute and gave in against all the boundaries I've set between us and kissed his cheek. "Really nigga."he straight faced me. "Be thankful."I laughed waving him off.
I get home and not even ten minuets go by and some one is knocking at my door. I open it and my big brother is standing there. I haven't seen him in about a year for whatever reasons. "Trey!"I jumped in his arms. "Wassup."he laughed. "Where's my niece and sister in law."I looked down the hall to see if they were behind him. "They at home. Amaya has school in the morning. Where's my nephew?"he noticed how quiet the house was. "With mom and dad, you know he had his first football practice today."I informed. "Oh yeah, how'd he do?"He asked exploring my refrigerator. "He's a natural. Dad was already talking about scouts."I laughed. "You should've expected that."he laughed. "So why are you here. Not that this wasn't a great surprise but you would usually call first?"I asked. "Well for one I missed my family and two I'm about to ask amber to marry me so I'm here to buy a ring."he said taking me by surprise. "Oh my gosh. Congratulations that's great."I lit up. "Thank you thank you ."he nodded. "Who else have you told?"I asked. "Just you and her parents I was on my way to tell mom and dad now but I stopped in."he smiled. "I'm coming with you."I jumped up and put my shoes on. "Damn I thought I'd get married first."I laughed following him out the door.
