Ashley's P.O.V.

M/v:Ashley.Ash come on wake up.

I groaned and turned over to see my brother Laith.Laith is younger then me only by 11 months.But he looks older then me which is ok in my book.

Me:Laith I dont feel like going to school today my stomach hurts.!

Laith:Wanna ask mom if we can stay home today.

Me:Please.

Laith:Ight I'll be back.

I sat up in my bed.My mom is a single parent.My dad left once Laith was born.He got remarried and had kids.He was cheating on my mom when he was with her so you know how that went.He's rich as fuck.!Doesn't give a damn about us.Mom was only able to afford a 2 bedroom apartment.Even with a three of us working we still dont always have enough money to by food at times so we just go with out food for a few days if we got to.Even though Laith is younger then me we in the same grade.He was able to skip Pre-K.Me and Laith share a room he sleeps on one side of the bed and I sleep on the other.Sometimes we both end up sleeping in moms room with her so we can all keep warm if we dont have heat.I reached over and checked my phone.My cousin works at Verison so we get free phones that's a good thing.Laith walked back in the room and got on the bed.

Laith:We good for the day.She just got off the phone with the school.I told her you were cramping really bad so she's gonna come check on you in a minute.

Me:Ok.

I had a text message from my one and only friend Cheyenne.Chyenne is my fucking gee.I don't know what I would do with out her and Laith.She's always there for us.Like last month we need shoes.BAD.!Chyenne hooked us up with the new jordans and a whole outfit.Like that's the fucking bestfriend that I need right there.She helps me and I help her to.When Chyenne needs help with work or anything I fill in for her which is almost half of the time because her mom is ways in the hospital sick.

I put my phone on the side table just as my mom came in.

Mom:Hey baby.You ok.?

Me:My stomach.

Mom:Ok.Take these and try not to move around so much ok.

Me:Ok Ma.

She handed me 2 pills and a cup of water.I took the pills and threw the water back.I put the cup on the table.

Mom:I get off at 7 so I'll be home by 8 and I'll bring something back.

Me:Naw mom we good we gone make something to eat for dinner.

Mom:Ok sweetie.

She kissed my forehead and leaned over and kissed Laith cheek.

Mom:Love you guys.
