Xanos walked outside and called for a taxi. The taxi pulled up and Xanos gave the driver his address. "Are you sure that's where you want to go?" The taxi driver asked. "Yes." Xanos nodded his head. "Okay." The driver said. The driver pulled out of the hospital and began to drive in silence. "So, uh, you don't seem like you're from around here." The driver said. "You could say that." Xanos answered. "Look kid, I don't know what you've gotten yourself into, but the person who owns that house your going to isn't a good person." The driver said with concern. "What do you mean?" Xanos asked. "He's done some bad things, that man. Once, he tricked this man into losing all his money and taking out a loan, and then after he couldn't pay it back, he sold his wife and daughter." The driver said. Xanos was shocked. Shay did that?, Xanos thought. "I heard he also sold the poor man's organs on the black market. All I know is that, Poor Ehsan Vanders was never seen again afterwards. Neither his wife nor daughter. The police looked into this case but couldn't find any evidence to convict him." Xanos looked out the window and began to ask more questions. "What's the name of the guy who owns the house?" Xanos asked to verify. "Shay Milano, didn't you know this already?" The driver asked. "Yeah I knew, just wanted to make sure." Xanos said slowly. "Anyways, we're here. Be careful kid." The driver said as he pulled into a long paved path that stretched seemingly for miles. After 3 minutes of silence, the car began to approach a huge mansion of at least 3 stories. This is Shay's house? Xanos thought to himself as his mouth dropped open. "Are you sure you got the right address?" Xanos asked the driver. "There's no doubt about it, this is Shay Milano's house. Now please get out, I've got a job to do." The driver said as he urged Xanos to hurry up. " Oh, sorry. Here's your tip." Xanos left a tip and walked towards the front entrance. He knocked on the door and a rough looking man answered the door. "Who are you?" He said in a cold voice. "O-Oh umm I'm a friend of Shay's." The man looked Xanos up and down. "You? The boss's friend? He isn't home. Any one of his friends would have known that." He glared at Xanos and began to close the door. "Wait! I got a letter from him for you." Xanos pushed the note towards the man. The man took it then read through it. "It looks like his handwriting. Hang on, I have to make a phone call." He pulled out his phone and called some unknown number. "Hello, Kevin? Did you hear anything about a kid named. . ." He looked at Xanos and asked for his name, "Xanos" Xanos said. "Have you heard anything about a kid named Xanos?" The man waited for a few moments before hanging up and calling a different number. "Hello, oo hospital?. . . Yeah, can I talk to one of the patients?. . . Shay Milano. . . Yeah, thanks. . ." The man waited impatiently as the call was forwarded yet again to another person. "What do you want?" The man heard someone say from the other side of the phone. "B-Boss, I'm sorry to bother you. Some kid named Xanos is here with a note that looked like your handwriting. We didn't know whether it was real or not so we wanted to call you." "Yeah, I sent Xanos there. He's going to be living with me from now on. Treat him well." The man hung up the phone and looked at Xanos. "You can call me Shark." The man went back inside and left the door open. "Close the door behind you." He said much more politely this time. "Okay." Xanos walked into the front door and marvelled at the beautiful interior. "How much is all of this worth?" Xanos said with genuine curiosity. "6.7 Billion dollars, if you include the furniture." Shark said calmly. Xanos tripped and fell down. "6.7 BILLION?!" Xanos yelled in surprise. "This is only one of his houses." Shark said informatively while helping Xanos up. "How can he afford all of this?" Xanos asked blindly. Shark went silent, debating whether he should answer or not. "We have to move on, the place is huge and we'll never finish the tour at this rate." Shark finally said, completely avoiding the topic. "Ummm, okay." Xanos stopped asking questions and continued to follow Shark. "This is your room. You can call me if you need anything, but please stay in there." Shark said as he pointed to a room up ahead. "Thanks." Xanos said and followed Shark's orders, entering the room obediently. Xanos was too tired to even bother looking around and plopped down onto the bed.
