He held on to her hand at a full on pace, running, sprinting.

"Don't look back Isadora" he kept his voice low, you could almost feel the fear in his voice.

"I don't think I can go on any further Evik" she grips onto the blanket that held her new born child.

The footsteps only grew louder.

"Here, lets hide in here" he said wrapping his hands around her. They knelt behind an already broken down cottage, there was smoke spiraling over the roof tops, it was clear what had happened.

The war had taken everything, family, money, even brave souls were moved to their breaking point.

"Search this place, you must find them or don't bother coming back alive" the mans voice was deep, his mere tone was enough to send shivers down the bravest of men.

His feet landed heavily as his boots clicked and clanged among the rough pavement.

Isadora shivered squeezing onto her child, tears streamed down her lonesome eyes.

Almost several day ago the law of the new age was passed, "All born on the night of the red moon must be killed" the king had passed the law without warning. The law shunned those like their new born daughter.

Her eyes glistened a dark red with a piercing tint of green. A child born of magic, she was a prodigy to be feared.

The footsteps came to a dramatic halt.

"sir" over here a voice bellowed

"Run Isadora, Run" Evik said quietly before screaming his voice echoing.

She held on deeply to her daughter, "No I mustn't leave you, I won't leave you" she says reassuringly

"You must, Now go" his hands glinted almost burning, light erupting blinding those in range.

Her feet raced towards every corner in sight, tears streaming down her eyes, as the child wailed in unison, as if knowing of the severity the situation had brought.

She ran as fast as her legs could carry her, out the borders of the city, where she knelt by a stream filled with the remains of towns folk and soldiers.

"Why must we live like this, Is it a shame to be different" she screams
She knew she was being followed, these guards didn't have a slight bit of reason in their eyes. She was going to die, she was ready to persue the faith of her gifted husband. "My child must live" her thoughts enveloped her.
She looks down at her crying daughter and the locket her mother had given the child before passing.

Her hands stroked her daughters head.
"Maybe everything was meant to be this way" The words stung, hinched with every breath.
She grabs onto some stray woods and a lily pad.

"The most painful goodbyes are the one that are never explained or expected, your heart will never lie to you, be brave for all of us" she wraps her thoroughly placing her on the lily pad before pushing her across the stream.
