"So everyone thinks I'm dead," Denki concluded as he sat up in his hospital bed, speaking with Aizawa and All Might. "Cant I go back?"
Aizawa and All Might shared a sad look. "I'm afraid not," Shoto answered, his normally sad eyes even more depressed than usual.
"Why not?!" Denki demanded.
"You're an Omega-level hero now," All Might answered. "There are people out there who want you dead or on their side and will do whatever it takes to make it happen." He sighed. "It's better if everyone thinks youre dead. You will stay here and learn to develop your powers with other Omega-level heroes. You will not try to contact the outside world are we clear?"
Denki bit his lip and looked down. "...cant...cant I just let them know I'm okay...?" he quietly asked.
"I'm sorry but no," Aizawa answered, his normally dull voice carrying a small hint of sympathy. "It's too dangerous."
Denki felt hot tears form in his eyes but brushed them away and drew in a shaky breath. He had to be strong. He had to prove he was an Omega-level hero. "Understood," he responded with all the confidence he could muster. "Thank you for all your help."
Aizawa and All Might nodded.
"You're training begins as soon as you are recovered," All Might told him as he stood to his feet. "It will be harder than anything you've ever done."
Denki swallowed nervously but nodded.
He had to be strong.
He had to be an Omega.
