Annika walked into the study, it was more of a library than anything. The walls may as well have been replaced with built in bookcases, the only walls you could see were at the top of the bookcases which stretched to the ceiling. There was a second story to the library, with a creaking stairwell.

On the first floor, however, there were polished floorboards, and matching bookcase shelves. The ground was mainly covered with an old, round, green and yellow floral rug that circled throughout the whole room. The room was also littered with wooden chairs with cushions, coffee tables with modern vases holding a large variety of flowers and books were in small piles all over the room.

To her right there was a beautiful, clear stain glass window that showered the room with light. Annika didn't like bright lights in small rooms, they made her eyes twitch as she cringed.

"What's with you? Don't like light, little Humanoid?" one of the Angels mocked.

Annika didn't dignify that with a response, instead, someone else did, "Now, Rose, don't be rude," someone said, despite the bright light there were still several dark corners in the library/study.

Annika could hear her before she could see her, her petite feet floated on the ground and her dress seemed to be as well. Out of nowhere the window had a thin curtain swiped over it, turning the whole room not into darkness, but into a bright yellow light.

Lola forced herself to calm down; she needed to find a way out of the cage she's been locked in. In the flame light, she looked at the chain that was wrapped around the lock. Each link linked with another link, despite the fact that the chains were old and covered in rust, they were still tough. Lola pulled against the chains, hearing them creak and squeak as she put her full weight against it, all she achieved were sore and dirty hands and a sore bum when her fingers slipped from the chain and she landed with a loud crash on the ground.

Lola screamed in frustration as she stood up, she looked at the metal bed frame that stood next to her in an almost mocking and show off way. She could practically hear it, 'ha-ha, I can stand...'

There was a thin mattress that seemed to be made of straw or something. Lola groaned as she sat on the bed, it creaked under the pressure of her weight, and she held her head in her hands.

"What am I going to do?" Lola softly sobbed; she wiped her eyes several times before she picked up the scratchy pillow, pressed it against her face, and screamed a high pitch, muffled scream.

A woman seemed to appear from the golden light, her skin glowed like the sun, and the dress she wore was a sparkly gold, as if it was made of golden fish scales. Her skin seemed flawless, her eyes sparkled as if they were the most beautiful pair of stars in the sky, her ruby lips were a radiant red, and her petite features would've been offended to be called beautiful.

Despite her beauty, Annika wasn't amazed or felt any envy towards her like most Angels did.

"Angel, we've brought the Humanoid," one of the Angels informed.

Angel smiled a pearly white smile as she walked forwards, "now my dear Angels, I think our guest here would prefer to be called something a little less harsh," Angel informed walking up to Annika, she was about a head or so taller than Annika, but only because her feet didn't seem to touch the ground, but she floated without wings.

She kneeled down to Annika and held her face, Annika pulled her face from her hands, "Humanoid isn't offensive to me," she informed.

Angel smiled in enjoyment, "you haven't changed at all, sweetie, you're just as stubborn and cold," she informed smiling, "not a day has seemed to age your beauty either."
