Chapter One

Juliet's pov

I sat in my chair thinking of when I got together with my ex-boyfriend.

-flashback-

It's raining heavily outside and Shawn has flowers in his hand for me. He knocked on the door and I answered. "Shawn? why are you in the rain?" I asked. "Because I need to tell you something." He said. I looked at him up and down. He was soaked, his shirt pulled tight to his firm abs against due to the rain, he didn't look bad. His hair flattened and straight. "What is it Shawn?" I asked as I looked into his eyes. "I'm in love with you." he said like in a romantic comedy. "I'm in love with you and I don't know what to do about it." He said. I pulled him in and kissed him passionately. He kissed back and shut the door behind us.

-flashback ends-

I sat there thinking of how happy I was with him. I still loved him. We broke up because I thought that the chief would find out. I told him that we shouldn't talk or be near each other. I told him he was a steamroller. I think it's for the best.

-later in the evening-

I got a voicemail from Shawn for me to meet him somewhere. I met him and he was sitting on a bench. He stood up. "I didn't think you were going to come." He said. "Well I was surprised when you had only left one voicemail instead of your usual 20." I said. "I'm trying to be less abrasive and be a little more considerate." He said. I nodded. "Uh sit down. Only if you want to." He said getting up. I sat down. "Ok I do." I said. "Jules. I don't think that not being friends is enough." "Shawn I'm sorry I think it's for the best." "yeah." he said sadly. "Believe me I want to." I said. "Jules it's fine." He said. I started to walk away. "Wait. There's another option." I said stopping. "What?" he asked curiously. "We could just say screw it." "What?" He asked. I turned around. "I miss you like crazy. I just wanna be with you. This is how I feel how do you feel?" I asked. He stepped towards me and kissed me passionately. I was happy for the first time in three weeks. I kissed back.
