We had been dancing all day taking little breaks in between except for our longer lunch break. I knew Ryan wouldn't go to my house until later on this evening, because even though he slept around he still had to earn a living. After I convinced Jenna and especially Kevin I would be ok they let me go to my house to get ready for tonight, then we were all going to meet back up at Jenna's. I don't know what happened but Kevin has become more concerned about me and Ryan than what Jenna ever has, which is saying something. I don't know if it might be because he actually spoke to Ryan and witnessed what he could be like that he now understands more of the situation. It was flattering however to actually have, for once a guy care about my feelings. Kevin and I have been friends for awhile, Jenna was the one that introduced us. We don't ever hang out except when I'm at the studio we always talk and have a laugh, along with Jenna. Jenna was the only person from Glee I hung out with outside of the studio until tonight because Kevin was coming with us.
When I arrived back at my house after the thirty minute drive I was happy to see Ryan was not there, just as I had guessed. I grabbed my bag and climbed out of the car locking it behind me and then unlocking the front door when I reached it. I chucked my bag down by the door and locked the front door back up just in case Ryan did show up he couldn't get in. I pulled my phone out my bag and text Jenna and Kevin in a group conversation to tell them I was ok. They both replied, Jenna with a smiley face emoji and Kevin with a thumbs up emoji. I headed into my bedroom and put my phone on charge and then walked over to my closet. I pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans, a white thin-strapped tank top, a black lacy thick-strapped top, underwear, and socks. I took the pile of clothes and headed into the bathroom, turning on the shower. I only spent a few minutes in the shower just to wash the sweat off of my body seen as though I had a proper shower that morning. I climbed out of the shower wrapping a towel around myself and my hair, walking over to look in the mirror.
I quickly dried myself and got dressed, then rubbed my damp hair in the towel. I quickly pulled out the hair-dryer plugging it in. Once again it only took me a few minutes to dry my damp, thin hair, then I pulled out the flat iron. This still only took me about ten minutes to straighten my hair but this time I left it down instead of pulling it back into a pony-tail, so the length of my hair stopped just below my breasts. I grabbed my dirty clothes and put them in the laundry basket, then I grabbed my phone off of charging. When I looked Kevin had sent a group test saying,
"Guys my mum called so I might take longer than expected!"
"Ok lol" I replied.
"lol, if you want when Ellie gets here we can just pick you up" Jenna suggested.
"Ok thanks cuz my mum seriously won't get off the god damn phone!" Kevin replied.
"lol" Jenna and I both replied.
I pulled a small duffle bag out of my closet and packed it with pajamas, movies, and clean clothes for tomorrow along with some toiletries. These were for tonight and tomorrow seen as though Kevin and I were spending the night at Jenna's. I also grabbed my phone and one of my shoulder bags containing my wallet and some other stuff like packets of tissues and candy where I never cleaned it out. I then grabbed my unusual converse that I wore earlier, put my phone in my bag, and headed out the front door.
It was rush hour traffic so the roads were busy and it might take more than twenty minutes to get to Jenna's. I was so happy I didn't bump into Ryan, he would probably be finishing work now getting ready to head to my house. I just put the creepy thoughts to the back of my head and focused on driving. After thirty minutes I arrived at jenna's so the traffic only added an extra ten minutes onto the drive. I grabbed my two bags and got out the car locking it behind me, Jenna must of heard me pull up because she came running out to meet me.
"Hey!" She said running up and grabbing my shoulder bag.
"Oh my god, I love your bag!" She cried.
"Gee out of both bags you grab the lighter one!" I joked.
"No I grabbed the prettier one!" She laughed.
"Ah well from where I am it looks more like the lighter one," I laughed back.
"Do you know what your problem is?" She smiled.
"What?" I asked smiling back.
"Your too pessimistic!" She laughed.
"Oh, well maybe I do see the glass as being more half empty than to half full!" I smiled.
"And that's exactly what I mean!" She replied both of us laughing.
I chucked my duffel bag down by the side of the couch in the living room and then claimed my shoulder bag back off of Jenna. We then headed to Jenna's car and I climbed in the passenger side, then we were off the Kevin's. Jenna asked me to text him to let him know we were on our way, he soon replied saying he was ready but was still trying to get his mum off the phone. Jenna just laughed at the fact Kevin couldn't get his mum off the phone, he only lived fifth-teen minutes away from Jenna so it wouldn't take us long to get there. My phone vibrated again I thought it was Kevin but it was Ryan asking where I was. He must now be at my house but I just ignored his text, then I got another one saying he would find me. I read them out to Jenna.
"Don't worry he won't find us," she said giving me an assuring smile.
"But Ellie..." she said.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Don't tell Kevin!" She said, seriously.
"Don't worry I won't!" I laughed.
"I've never seen him like he was today, I didn't even know he had that side to him!" She exclaimed.
"Really? I mean I haven't either but you see him more than me," I replied.
"Yeah, he really seems to care," she smiled over at me.
"In what way?" I asked.
"I don't know, he just really seems to care," she smiled again.
We reached Kevin's house and Jenna pulled up onto the drive way, we grabbed our bags and climbed out of the car. We walked up the drive way and Kevin was stood in the doorway all dressed up, obviously he heard us pull up. He had the phone pressed up to his hear with a fed up expression on his face obviously where he couldn't get his mother off of the phone. He gestured for us to come inside, Jenna and I just giggling at him on the phone.
"Uh-hm... yes... ok mum I really have to go my friends are here... yeah they're girls, so?... neither... mum I don't have a girlfriend!... As friends!... I'm not going to pick, they're my friends!... Yes they're pretty... I don't need to be safe! They're just friends... It's called friends with benefits, and they're not that type of friend!...Mum I really need to go, I'll call you tomorrow!... Ok bye... Yes I love you too!" Kevin finally managed to put the phone down, blushing a deep red.
Jenna and I tried to hold in the giggles for as long as we could but it didn't take long for us to burst out laughing.
"My mum got confused and thought I was going on a date with both of you or something and got mad at me saying it was a form of two-timing or something. She doesn't really understand the words 'Just friends' at all!" Kevin tried to explain, still flushed in the face.
He then looked at me and Jenna, she was wearing a short, black cocktail dress with heals and her face had just the right amount of make-up. I was wearing my black skinny jeans, a tank top with the lace one over top, my converse and no make-up
"I don't like to dress up," I explained answering his mental questions.
"You both look great! I never realized how long your hair was, it's always pulled back!" He said smiling at me.
"You don't look bad yourself!" I complemented him, making him slightly blush which made Jenna slightly smirk.
He was wearing a black polo shirt but not done all the way up hanging over his dark navy, slightly baggy jeans, along with his DC sneakers. We all headed out to Jenna's car, Kevin bringing his overnight bag with him and we headed to a club.
