Justin and Pattie stayed for dinner, when my mom announced we were having spaghetti, me and Justin both exclaimed, "My favorite!" I glared at him, "Copy cat!" I joked.
We were all sitting at the dining table, waiting one by one to be served. We had hired two maids recently, lately we have all been busy with work and school. You see my mom manages a big company, she is in charge of 3 beauty salons. My step dad is a business man, I never really knew what he did, all I knew was that it required a lot of traveling.
The table had a red and white checkered design cloth laying on it, the centerpiece had sunflowers in a red vase, my mom fancied the color red. There was garlic bread sticks in one bowl and cheese in the other just in case you wanted more cheese. I was seated next to Justin and the mothers were with each other.
Justin asked for his plate completely covered, I guess he loved spaghetti that much! "Looks like Justin didn't make space for dessert." My mom laughed.
His mouth was stuffed with spaghetti, and sauce covered his cheeks, "There's dessert!?" His eyes widen. He looked so cute.
"Yup! My mom made the dessert, she's best at baking. Mom what's for dessert today?" I asked.
"Well I made a triple fudge cake, with strawberry on top. Also, an icecream cake." She smiled.
After we all finished eating dessert, my mom and Pattie stayed in the kitchen, gossiping. While me and Justin went to the living room to watch some TV. My living room was huge! We had a flat screen tv hanging on the beige wall. Leather couches surrounding it. Family portraits on the wall, there's a sliding door that leads to the backyard.
While I was lost in thought, the mothers entered the room, "There's good news and bad news!" They announced. Oh my god what were they talking about in the kitchen.
