The Phantom Legends

FADE IN

INT. 1ST FLOOR OF NONNA'S HOUSE

The house looks normal, but has a sense of emptiness to it, the sound of every movement echoing off the walls.

There is a winding staircase near the front door, leading upwards.

WILL, a 14 year old, black haired and hazel eyed boy, and JASON, a very tall, 14 year old blonde haired, blue eyed boy, follow NONNA, Jason's grey haired and delicate looking grandma, up the stairs of the house.

WILL

Where are we going, Nonna?

NONNA

The attic of course! It's the best room in the house!

Will almost stops dead in his tracks.

NONNA

Here we are!

INT. THE ATTIC

The smallest most suffocating room in the house.

Webs from wall to wall, spiders crawl up the rotten bed frame.

Nonna walks into the room but Will and Jason stand frozen at the doorway.

WILL

Jason...

Will looks over at Jason with panic on his face.

JASON

Are you sure this is the right room, Nonna? I don't think spiders are very good company.

NONNA

What spiders?! There are no spiders, silly goose! Make yourself at home, little Jason.

Nonna makes her way back down the spiral staircase. The boys are left frozen, in shock. Will breaks the silence.

WILL

Jason, you said your Nonna was stable as long as she takes her pills.

JASON

Don't blame me! That's what my mom told me; I haven't seen my grandma since I was 3 years old.

Will crosses his arms.

JASON(cont'd)

Don't give me that look.

Jason grins and punches Will on the shoulder.

JASON(CONT'D)

Now, let's check this room out!

WILL

Dude, are you insane? I guess that would make sense after meeting your Nonna.

JASON

Will, I thought we established my insanity long ago when you decided to become my friend.

Jason chuckles and steps through the doorway, entering the attic.

Will anxiously watches Jason explore the room.
