Gradually Falling

Hit It!

"Okay, okay class dismiss!"

And the class erupt into a loud cheer.

Everybody starts to gather their things including me who's desperately wanting to go home.As I walk towards the exit,admiring the new mopped floor,a shiny thing caught my attention.I drop on my knees to reach for the shiny penny.But a loud scream emerge from the crowd.

"Watch out!" That's the last thing I heard before my vision went black.

"Felicity! Aubrey! Fee! Aub! Bre! Lazyhead!"

"5 more minutes dad!" I mumbled

A loud chuckle wakes me up, and when I opened my eyes in taking the surroundings, I realized I'm not home.I'm lying on the school clinic's bed.

And there is a guy standing beside the bed.It's Andrew, my best friend.He has a shaggy brown hair that fell into his dark blue eyes. He is almost a head taller than me.He was there standing , grinning ear to ear.

"What happened?" I asked

Sitting beside me he said "Bre, you passed out after you've been hit by a basketball".I cover my face with a pillow and groan, I'm sure that all of the students saw me being hit by it."What are you doing back there?" he asked while fishing his phone from his back pocket like nothing had happened.

"You know, I am about to pick the penny and then BOOM!" I recalled the incident earlier.Yes I know you think I'm the clumsiest and most oblivious person alive.Yes,I've heard the scream but I didn't do anything to cover.Well its just you know .I'm slow.

"Seriously?! For a penny?Men ,you're like a baby!" he teased

"Oh,Shut up! I'm 19!" I defended myself.

"You're old" he chortled .

"No! I'm not,so shut up!" I yelled. That causes other people turn there heads in my direction.

Getting up from the bed.I hold my head still aching a little bit. "Okay peace! I have something to tell you but I guess you're not in the mood to listen" he turn around and start to walk away.

"Hey Drew!Wait for me!!What are you going to say?" I pack my things and run after him.But the nurse called me and gave me some of the medications.After I said my quick thank you I ran after Drew.

He stop on his tracks and I bumped my head on his hard chest.

"Hey, you're so mean you know that?" I said while rubbing my nose.I feel like I will be having a brain damage, because I bump my head a lot lately.

" I'm sorry" he apologized."You know what? We should head home early today because." he had a short pause "because Nathalie is home!"he exclaimed.

"What for real?!Oh my god!!I miss her so much!"I jump up and down in excitement. Nathalie is our best friend, we are besties since the freshmen year.

"She only left for 5 days you're aware of that right?" he asked in a bored expression. "Yes,but atleast" I open and close my mouth like a fish."Aha! You don't have any excuses.There's more!" He stop for a second and give me a big grin. "We will be having a sleep over Party! " he said in a girly voice.

"We should get some foods! I mean a lot of foods!"

We walk to his car and make our way to the grocery.
